Our Regular bitter is at 4.1% ABV. With a hop mix that gives the beer a berryfruit character with berry aromas and a balanced bitterness, while the malt blend gives the beer a slight caramel undertone. A smooth and balanced bitter. Enjoy!

Half; Cask; Chelmsford Ale Houes; 10th April 2015. Amber/golden colour. Copper. White lacing. Aroma is sweet licorice, caramel and oranges. Taste is licorice, orange peel, light coriander, Cheddar cheese, grains and rubber. Not my thing. Could be tired or affected by bad travel.

Cask @ White Swan, Leeds. Deep amber with a creamy head. Thin textured bitter, quite crisp for it but there’s little taste or flavour to enjoy, and without much bitterness. There’s some fruitiness in its nose.

Cask at the Tockwith Beer Festival. Amber with a cream head. Not great. Toffee apple with metallic notes. Some flavour to it, but not flavours that work for me.

500ml Bottle - Copper in colour. Chestnuts, biscuity malt and a hint of dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity, malty and nutty taste with notes of raisins, berries, walnuts, chestnuts and toffee. Balanced and tasty.

Bottle from Cornelius. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of wood, stewed tea and toffee. Flavour of metal, caramel, bread and lime. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A solid Bitter - it’s just a bit dull and thin.

Cask at The Free Trade Inn, Byker. Pours light copper with a nice white head & lacing. Aromas of red fruit and caramel. Taste has a fruity sweetness, and a light hop bite Touch of biscuit coming through. Decent standard bitter, if a little thin.

August 29, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The Harp (Chandos Place). Beautiful clear and refractive copper with a small frothy/rocky beige head (4-). Smells like a bitter - floral, only somewhat sweet, no alcohol. Taste is weird - a little ugly in its floral bitterness, sort of sweaty, but not horrible. Light, slick, very mild carbonation, quick-finishing, no aftertaste - ehhh.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours golden amber with a small off-white head. The nose is earth, wood, leather, varnish, light resin, toffee and butterscotch. The taste is pretty watery, earth, wood, mild toast, pond-water, dull bitterness, faint must and astringency with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. A bit watery. So-so bitter.
