COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with a blend of the latest seasons hops which give a soft bitterness that is complimented by the sweetness of the malt. The bold fruity aroma and crushed gooseberry flavours impart a distinctive cool climate white wine fruitiness. “Quintessentially Kiwi”

Cask at CBI, London on 21st March 2013. Gold with off-white head and scant lacing. Yeasty, slightly smoky aroma. Richly malty in-mouth with touches of smoke, plenty of fruit and a tad of cheese. Sweetish cheesy finish with smoky touches. Smooth mouthfeel.

Cask, half pint at New Oxford Winter Ales Festival in Salford. Shared with Finn. Copper-gold body, fragile lacing down the glass. Notes of grapes and fruits to the nose. Grapefruit taste supported by mid-sweet malts. Dry bitter ending. Medium bodied. Likable (Greater Manchester, 27.01.2013).

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 21/11/2012. Deep amber with a slight white head. Aroma of tangerines and pineapple, with a touch of caramel. Flavour had plenty more fruit, a hint of toffee and lingering, dry finish. Very good.

Gravity at Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Purple grape flavour, sticky and fleshy. It’s a bit weird, but I do like it. Fruity floral aroma too. Chris is on the bar, and he’s always good value.

Bottle, Rehills, Ncl. An unusual beer, in that the aroma is bittersweet, but has buttery notes and even some cheese in there, which did put me in mind of yeastiness. As advertised, the kiwi fruit is certainly there and there’s a nice fruity explosion in the finish, with some zestiness too. Maybe needs a touch of refinement, but good nonetheless

Cask, gravity at Dudley Winter Ales Festival Sat 26th November 2011 with Bob Pours gold a little hazy with a white head. I think on day one this may have been a cracker but day three and it has started to wilt a little, despite this it is still one of the better beers that I’ve had here today. Little soapy hops in mouth with the fruitiness shows but its not as crisp as I guess it could and would have been, Likeable. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.3
