2010 Bottle - Pours thin and dk brown with a thin off white head...aroma is charcoal and roast, dk cocoa and some espresso...flavour is similar, perhaps the best smoked chile presence I’ve had, with the lightest heat, cocoa and smoke (I normally don’t like smoke, but it just works!)...finishes with a bit of chile and thin cocoa, full of flavour and not heavy at all...enjoyed this much more than I expected!

Bottle. Chocolate malt with smoke and pepper notes. Chocolate and pepper upfront followed by coffee and subtle, pleasant pepper burn in the finish. Fine, effervescent mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

You can smell the chipotle peppers right off the bat. Appearance is typical of imperial stouts and porters. This has a minimal head, but leaves lotsa lacing. This is quite smokey beer, aroma and flavor. Nice burn at the end. When I see these BGW 4 packs, I usually buy them they don’t disappoint. Solid beer!

McNeillR (2140) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2015
Soft brown, oily without much of a head - solidly opaque. Nose was oily, BBQ and soy but didn’t kick onto the initial taste. Neat and spicy throughout, very soft carbonation but thick and monstrous on the linger. Spicy enough, the roast and choc was more apparent as the heat faded on the finish. Linger was lean enough, back to the soy roastiness.

Very dark brown in color with a tall, lasting tan head. Toasted and roasted malt with a With a bit of green pepper in the background. A little more nose time, bring in some of the chipotle, but even it has a bit of “greenness” to it. Sweet pepper and roasted malt in the front. The malt sticks a little while and then releases to the every so slight bite of pepper. Hints of ash and white pepper in the remains. 3/10
