A strong iipa. Pours a great burnt orange with head and lacing. Aromas are dank hops and sweet caramel. Nice backbone of malt on this. Great resiny finish. Nice stuff.

bottle - Pours amber with a big, light tan head and good lacing. It has a citrus and malt aroma. The flavor features big hops bitterness and caramel. It’s full bodied with a long bitter finish. It’s strong and very good though for me not as good as some other double IPAs.

Gription79 (2228) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is pine hops, caramel malts, and signs of oxidation. The flavor is a strong caramel maltiness, pine and resinous hops, more signs of oxidation. This is a dull IIPA, way too sweet, and oxidized. This would be a better beer fresh for sure. A malty bitter bomb.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a very dark orange with some chunkies and a finger of thick white head. Aroma is loads of citrus and grapefruit with some pine resin and caramel. Taste is medium bitter. Loads of citrus and pine with a strong caramel backbone. Full bodied with a thick creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a super long finish. Overall, awesome. This one is a winner for sure.

Dark reddish copper pour with a quarter inch creamy/khaki head and light sticky lacing .... aroma of caramel malts, floral and piney hops along with bitter pungent hops .... taste is piney and floral, grapefruity hops with a deep bitter earthy bite and caramel malts ... finish is super dry with a wicked bitter dry hop bite floral and piney hops lingering .... intensely bitter and very solid

Bottle. Nose has apricot, mango and some piney-ness backed by caramel. Mouthfeel is very nice, thick and creamy, very substantial for the style, but converges in a very nice way with the hoppiness. Flavor is great - lots of pine and citrus with a long bitter/resiny finish. Great as is but I am wondering if this sample is not as fresh as it could be. Would like to try fresh on tap.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Pours a clear, radiant ruby orange. Medium creamy white head, partially lasting with lace. Aroma is pretty balanced. Full of sweet and hoppy. Caramel, dense fruity, citrus, almost barley wineish. Flavor much the same, very hoppy, with some added pine. Full body. Oily. Fair bitterness. Pretty balanced finish. Sweet, bitter, dry.

Bottle. Pours an attractive deep amber with a small off white hed, decent retention. The aroma has a lot of piney, resiny hop notes and only a bit of the malty citrusy balance. The taste is fairly bitter, resiny, a bit of a sweet balabce but not overly citrusy.. more of a dry maltiness. Not crazy about it.
