12oz bottle via trade with milwcu29 - Thanks Chris! - Pours nice dark amber with a pretty good sized offwhite head that stayed pretty well.. Laces pretty good as well. This whore is soaked with hops baby.. Beautiful aroma of pine, grapefruit, and some floral notes as well.. I tell you I tried hard to pick up malt in this nose and I couldnít find it behind the hops. Flavor is quite bitter on the tongue too but there are definite pineapple and tropical notes there too and if you try hard enough you can find some caramel malts too. Good oily texture and fair carbonation with a nice bitter dry finish. This one is a winner.. Nice brew!

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2006 It is a very good aroma. Very floral with dying flowers. Light red, and not very much carbonation. The head actually looked a small and I thought it might be under-carbonated or not sealed very well, but after pouring all of the beer into the glass there is an inch of off white foam and a thin layer stays on the beer until the end. But clear and I canít see any sediment. Flavor is pure hops. There is some citrus, but mostly pleasant, flowery and bitter with a light hop burn on my tongue. If they continue making beers like this they are going to get a positive name for themselves. Extra point for the very reasonable price of $6/4 pack. Very West Coast and possibly the most hops I have had in a bottled beer from Wisconsin.

Big thanks go to northerntimber for this one, thanks again! Pours a transparent orange-red with yellowish-tan head. Big aroma of pine, citrus, crazy floral hops all over with some underlying bready malt. Bittersweet flavor, pine and bready malt and some booze. Solid body, the carbonation seems a bit thin...sweet tropical fruit in the front, malt and warming booze in the middle with the hop punch torwards the end that lasts through the long finish. Pretty damn good stuff though I wouldíve enjoyed a bit more carboantion and perhaps a bit more balance.

Dark amber with a small off white head that manages to hang around for a bit. Aroma is heavy with floral hops, sweet fruit and pine. Flavor is a blast of sweet and sour citrus, pine and a dry, resiny tone throughout. Somehow the malt actually makes itself heard through all of this and itís a nice balance. The floral, pine finish lingers for an incredibly long time. Smooth, slippery and full bodied on the palate. This is definitely the best one so far in the brewers gone wild series. Tyranena is rappidly becomiing my favorite local brewer (well, maybe itís a tie with New Glarus).

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2006 I love this Whore!!! Pours a dark clean amber with a faint head. Aroma is quite piney. Flavor is a awesome hops & dry pine with hints of grapefruit. NIce and bitter. Just like a Whore should be.

Bottle, from trade with Captain Cougar. Great nose. Sweet. Perfumey & fruity. Apricot, pine, orange, peach, tangerine all come to mind Clean brownish orange color, ok head, good lace. Bitter flavor, now the grapefruit kicks in while the rest of the aroma things are in the bckground. Little medicine/metllic. Little toasted grain. Caramel / toffee too. Medium body, viscous creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Tasty, I got a good size difference between the aroma & flavor as opposed to the smells the same tastes the same kind of IIPAís that are out there. Thnks Capt.

Pours a clear copper orange with a frothy, well-lacing tan head. Big, fresh floral piny hoppy aroma has some sweet caramel maltiness. Body starts full and bittersweet with lots of piny and citrusy hops and good caramel maltiness toward a drier, resiny finish. A nice double IPA, but not as assertive as some other examples.

Bottle from Chicones in Hudson. Powerful aroma of perfumey hops and a bit of syrupy maltiness. Really. this is a very good brew the best of the series and the flavor of this is super citrusy grapefruity hoppiness. Shit this is tasty.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2008 10/13/2006 12 oz bottle pours a golden orange color with a fluffy hoppy head that leaves lots of lacing behind. Seriously the aroma on this is so fresh, wonderful, and strong (at least at first). Grapefruit and pine. Lots of it, with a little carmel. Medium body comes in carmel and sweet with a nice medium citrus bitterness. As this starts to fade a raw bitter hoppy bite clamps down on my tongue. Very enjoyable at first but as I drink it more, the aroma begins to bother me. Sometimes American IPAís start smelling like a cat piss/ BO aroma and for some reason the hop profile is doing this again. I get past that strangely evolving aroma and for the most part enjoy this beer. 6/4/8/4/16 = 3.8

12 oz bottle from Madison. Pours a copper bronze with a creamy beige head. Nose of fresh caramel and toffee malts with an inviting fruit and floral hop presence. Lots of tropical fruit, pine, and citrus. Caramel/toffee malt base with grapefruit, pine, and a strong bitterness. A solid IIPA. 8/4/8/4/16 = 4.0

12 oz bottle from Steveís in Madison (Mineral Point Road, Oct 2006) sampled at cellar temperature from a Corsendonk glass. Oily, viscous translucent dark amber with a smallish quick-receding tan head that leaves a faint cover....nose at first absolutely huge apricot syrup, but complexity sneaks in quickly, piney notes appearing, sweet liqeuer-like alcoholic textures (Amaretto perhaps), vanilla and light pungent spices (ginger).....not nearly as compelling on the tongue though, much drier than expected though some nice citric/apricot fruitiness makes it quite drinkable; Iím not all that crazy about the texture which seems a bit overcarbonated and artificial, a little too "clean" if you will....dry and quite bitter/harsh at the finish though the pine resins that appeared in the aroma come in at the end to add some interest....a bit sticky at first but hard in the mouth at the end. This looks and smells great but somethingís not all there in the body, filtration Iím guessing; give me more BWFH over this any day.
