UPDATED: FEB 28, 2007 Dark amber color. Smell of malt, pine, caramel, grapefruit, raspberries/blueberries, orange peal, grass and hops x 10!! This is a hop lovers beer. Taste of hops!!!!!!! Also I can taste everything that I can smell. Its even better than it smells and it smelled excellent! A nice bitter cinnamon aftertaste makes this beer a #5. I love the hops! WHAT A BEER FOR #200

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2009 Tangy, exhuberantpotent hop aroma, has almost a nostril drilling hop sharpness, wide scope of big hop taste, more piney then citrusy, pine needle and grapefruit aftertaste, all in a wash of malt sweetness, thats present, even prominent costarring but still bowing to the delicious hop . Rob Larson’s greatest hop performance,I dont think he can top this,we will need to see this more often, definitely preferred to the BWFH

Big thanks to MIBRomeo for this one. The pour is deep coppery with medium off-whte head. The aroma is massive, pummeling the nose with tons of tropical fruity hops, caramel malt, and perfumy florals. You’ll smell this more thna your fingers after a heavy session with your mistress! The flavor is very hoppy and fruity, with tangerine, honeydew, and mango hints, and a hop presence that never lets up, wafted by a perfumy floral mid-palate. This one doesn’t eclipse the Dread, but it gets pretty close!

1. Look – This Imperial IPA looks great. It has a clear amber color with a big head. 2. Sniff – There is a brilliant bubblegum and citrus aroma that makes this beer very appealing. 3. Sip – Hop Whore has a bitter initial sip, but has a great long lasting bubblegum and somewhat bitter grapefruit finish. 4. Another Look – The beer is has a very delicate head with strong lacing. 5. Evaluate - Overall, I this is a very tasty and unique Imperial IPA. There is a burst of flavor midway through the sip that is very interesting. I would most definitely recommend this IPA to anyone –even those who don’t care for IPA’s.

On tap at Beer Geeks. Wow huge hop smell and huge hop taste. Can’t begin to describe this wonderfulness in my glass. =) Had bottled before this and it left me unimpressed compared to this.

Aroma is sweet, syrupy malt and a lot of mango, citrus and orange rind. Pours a deep orange haze with minimal head. Taste is nice and hoppy, sweet tropical citrus on the forefront and finishes with a lingering bitterness. I remember having this on tap a while back but didn’t really appreciate it as much as I do right now. Reminds me of everything I love about FFF Dreadnaught but with more bitterness.

Served a little too cold with a huge, cream-colored, thick, foamy, frothy, billowy head and loads of lace. Color is a clear deep copper amber. Aroma is mild for me, but my snooter doesn’t work so well. What I could whiff was hop and malt. Flavor’s like nose but with giant hop that has enough malt to compliment and excellent carbonic tang. Even though it’s too cold body/carboantion are perfect. Finish is like flavor, taperes slow and is so drinkable.

Bottled. Poured a lovely shade of fiery medium orange with a short-lived cap of off-white headage... clear pour with light lacing that was marred by hop oils and alcohol. The aroma was a juicy hop assault on the nose... grapefruit, pear, pine, and Mandarin oranges were the key players... sweet caramel and mild woodiness support the hoppy goodness. Spritzy pine needles and alcohol really "pop" at the tip of the tongue, transitioning to bunches of juicy citrus (orange and grapefruit), perfume, and pear hops supported by ample doses of sweet caramel. Just luscious on the palate... perfectly soft carbonation, an ideal (high) level of bitterness in the right places, and a long, bitter, and warm finish. Phenominal brew! Keep these special releases coming!
