Bottled (thanks omhper!). Deep rubyish brown colour with small brown head. Aroma is strong smoke, alcohol, vanilla, wood and a real boost of coffee. Coffee in flavour along with vanilla, roasted malts and some mild hoppyness. Long coffeeish aftertaste. Brutal, different and pleasant.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. A black beer with a tint of red and a light brown head. Extremely burned, coffeeish and ashy nose. Medium body full of hard burned malts and ashy accents - about a ton of coffee in here. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. 270607

Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Pours oily dark black without forming any head. Loads of coffee up front. Sweet and thick, very malty, very roasty with massive amount of coffee. Creamy thick mouthfeel, coffee bean bitter finish. Certainly not shy, hardly refined. More a smack in the face of coffee. Certainly more interesting than balanced.

Opaque black brown beer, no real head. Light semi soft and semi dry palate. Mild coffee, some lactose sweetness. Some well integrated and subtle chocolate and a nice undertone of cherry fruit. Finishes semi dry and with the chocolate coming to the front. Well joined up and tasty.

Bottle. Big thanks to Mes_and_Sim for this one. Very deep brown. Lots of camp coffee, powdery strong coffee and lots of oatmeal. Quite oily in mouth. Lots more coffee. Not exactly subtle, just a temendous aroma. Rest is pretty good, but the coffee just is too dominant.

A: The pour is dark, dark brown (almost black) with a bit of tan head. S: The nose is full of coffee with a bit of oatmeal. I don’t normally enjoy coffee, but for some reason, in beers like this, it is absolutely amazing. T: The flavor follows the nose. Strong coffee flavors with a nice roasted malt component and quite a bit of oatmeal flavor to smooth things out. M: The body is medium to full with moderate carbonation. D: I am not too much of a fan of coffee on it’s own, but it’s absolutely amazing in this beer. I wish I had a few bottles of this to drink. A great beer.
