drfabulous (654), Columbia, Missouri, USA Jul 20, 2008 On tap. Bitter. Hops. Clean taste overall. My wife asked me what I ordered. When I told her the name, she gave me a dirty look. IlanMan (472), Winona, Minnesota, USA Jul 12, 2008 Pour was dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of light malt and strong earthy hops. Flavors are very mellowed with no alcohol but a lot of refreshing hops. Would buy again for sure. Real refreshing. thejoeshow (69), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 30, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours an orange/amber color with an off white head that dissipates fairly quickly but has excellent lacing. It has a very nice rich color to it. Very citrus heavy aroma with hints of pine and grapefruit. Flavor is a bit in the background to the hop bitterness. There is a nice citrus flavor in there with a bit of hop flavor as well as the bitterness. The mouthfeel is a tiny tiny tiny bit on the thin side but not enough to ruin the beer. Fairly easy to drink IPA that is worth a shot. nimbleprop (551), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 25, 2008 Scored this via trade with Scubarex. Many thanks! 12oz bottle pours a translucent orangey, amber with a thin, clumping, slightly beige head. Aroma has more malt than I imagined it would, with heavy cracker and biscuit notes and only a mild citrus aroma with slight grapefruit and oranges. Finish is very bitter, bordering on the astringent which takes away from what had been a mild IPA. Flavor has green peppercorns, crackers, lemons and pine. This was honestly a bit forgettable. crowderm (154), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 25, 2008 Decent, straight forward IPA. Green pine and peppery hops in the nose, as well as the flavor. Pretty bitter. Not necessarily in a good way. Mouthfeel is about par for the style. Overall a solid brew, but nothing to write home about.
