Bitter Woman IPA is our Wisconsin variation of an India Pale Ale. This beer is intensely bitter with a mighty hop flavor and aroma.

12 oz. bottle straight from WI. Dark golden/ light amber color. Smells like sweet caramel & nutty malts, with some bitter, piney hops. Tastes almost the same, too. A little more bitter, esp. in the finish. Not bad, just not my favorite IPA style.

The beer I had was a year old, so take this review for what its worth. Very very bitter and little other discernible taste.

Tap at the taproom July 30th. Notes are lacking in text. Decent/average IPA.

Draft in Wisconsin, uncle mikes highway pub. Expecting more bitterness, fairly standard IPA, nothing extraordinary despite the cool name.

Bottled. Nice slightly browned-orange in color with a medium-sized off-white head. Moderate pine aroma with orange zest and a vanilla malt backbone. Moderate bitterness that grows slightly in intensity bringing forth notes of rich leather and grapefruit flesh. Finish has a slightly sweet uptick with flavors of sugared lemon drops and green tea. As it warms, the sweet notes become more pronounced and flavors of dates and raisins become apparent within the rich malt base. Solid and left me wanting more.

Bottle in trade. Pours orange with white head. Aroma is mild hops, but strong malt sweetness. Taste is light, mild bitterness, sweet finish. Not my idea of an ipa.

Reviewed from notes: Pours a nice lighter amber color with white head. Intense citrus and pine on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice bite.
