3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BBB63 (5423) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - SEP 23, 2003Golden hue with fluffy long lasting head and good lace. Pine, wood sap, grapefruit, and toasted malt aroma. The flavor started smooth but quickly a cascade of big hop characteristics attacked the palate. Major tone of both bitter grapefruit and twangy lemon. Very slight metallic feel and lively. The balance on this beer was pretty good for something with such an appearent big hop level. Enjoyable for sure. I liked the twist of lemony undertone I found on the tongue. Also, pour this slowly if you see an lingering yeasties on the bottom as was the case with my bottle.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mvp (89) - Harper Woods, Michigan, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Clear orange apperance with a quickly disappearing frothy head. doesn’t have the most appealing aroma. I’m expecting a less then appealing taste but I’m pleasantly suprised. I think if they used a different hop profile during conditioning they would have an excellent IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 camborne (341) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Citrus and resin nose. Taste follows suit. Nice balance that is more towards the hops side. Solid

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jmcgavin12 (201) - Madison, USA - APR 4, 2013
Pours golden with frothy voluminous head. Aroma is strong citrus and floral. Aroma is a very stereotypical but good sweet bitter resin of delicious hops. Doesn’t finish super well though but still a decent IPA
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 backdaft (145) - Menasha Red Light District, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear deep orange/amber in color. Thin white head leaves some nice lacing. Strong floral hop aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt and bitter grassy hops. Not alot of citrus in this one. Medium bodied and fully carbonated with a lasting resin bitterness.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Darkover (1499) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 13, 2013

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ccex (825) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2013
12 oz bottle pours an almost clear red/orage with moderate white head and good lacing. Aroma is strong with both hops and malts: I detect grapefruit, caramel, bread, and a bit of pine. Taste is initially sweet until the huge bitter finsih kikcks in. Body is mediu, with average carbonation. Easily drinkable with a bitter finish you won’t forget. An above average IPA
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ContemplateBeer (1176) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 2, 2013
Aroma of pronounced grapefruit hops and slightly toasted bread. Appearance is deep copper with sticky white head, leaving lacing all over the glass. Flavor has lots of grapefruit up front with a nicely present toasted malt backbone; the finish is long and bitter, but not bracingly so. Palate is medium, sticky and average. A really well done example of the style, but without too much flash.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 starewich (119) - - DEC 15, 2012
Clear red-orange with medium off-white meringue-looking head. Novel dashes of smoke and ground pepper in the nose. Taste is quite bitter and grassy, but under it is a drink not unlike root beer (very apparent in the finish), and with a trace of something herbal and spicy, like dill. An odd one, but not gimmicky, and worth keeping in mind.

Nice dark amber with bubbly white head that stays throughout. A highly drinkable IPA, plenty if flavor to keep your interest.
