On tap at Three Floyds, Black pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of oatmeal dominates, backing choc/coff. Taste chocolate, oatmeal finish, creamy body.

Pours an opaque black with a small tannish head mostly dissipating. Nose is coffee and molasses. Exceptionally smooth and creamy, this brew is full bodied and full of dark molasses, coffee, dark chocolate and malt flavors with a very light hop suggestion. An excellent beer for its style, it pairs well with pan fried bluegills and hash browns with onions.

Pours dark with an ample cream head and lacing. Aroma is sweet chocolate and grain. Taste is light chocolate, roast, and water. Thin palate and watery. Not a fan of this one.

Thick black color. rich pillowy head. Rich smell of coffee. It starts out with a great combination of coffee, chocolate, malts, and oatmeal. Finishes very bitter. Overall I feel it could be a top beer if it was a touch sweeter and creamier, but less bitter. The bitter finish is a bit too overpowering. Really a very good beer.

The thin-ness and carbonation detracts from the taste. It's not terrible. It's just not what I was hoping for. Kinda plain, in my opinion.

Pours an inky, oily looking black with a minimal, although long lasting tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, and just hints of licorice. The taste is plenty of malts, more earthy actually. There is still a healthy amount of chocolate, especially in the aftertaste. The chocolate aftertaste is rather subtle, but it does linger in your mouth. I still find very subtle impressions of licorice. This is a bit sweet as well. The body is medium, while it has a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is limited. Very easy drinking here, although I get the feeling it might be a bit stronger than I realize.

Firkin Fest 2013. Black of course. Thick. Some oak, and I think I taste a little whiskey. Rich, roasted malt. Solid

12 oz bottle pours a dark brown/opaque black with small tan head and a few spots of lacing. Aroma is full of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, and a touch of molasses. Taste is sweet but not too sweet, with some nuts in the finish. Body is medium to full, not as thich as I had expected. Has lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is slighly oily. A very good oatmeal stout I won’t hesitate to try again.
