Black pour with milk chocolate head. Aroma of coffee and some chocolate. Taste is drier and more subdued than ecdpected. Needs a little more chocolate taste and a little creamier mouth.

Bottle: Nearly black, dark, large light beige head, foamy, with fairly nice lacing. Roasted malt nose, soft coffee, sweetened with creamer and sugar. Very minor pasture on tongue. Otherwise roasted malts, coffee, a bit of creamer and sugar to bring out the sweetness. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Seems a bit thinner than I was expecting for a Tyranena. Finishes clean, and just like it started. More coffee than chocolate, black coffee. Wished it were a bit softer, but as its its decent and above average if not a little better than that.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OmegaX (1001) - Florida, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Aroma is light cocoa, some smoke, roasty, oats. Pour is the typical stout pour - dark body, off-white head. Flavors are full of chocolate, roast, smoke, some oatmeal, and a light sweetness. Not bad.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Chipalsa (1117) - Florida, USA - NOV 2, 2012
Your basic sweet stout, perhaps the aroma is better than others though; lots of sweet chocolate and roast. It’s plenty nutty and bitter with cocoa and light coffee, but the finish is quick and doesn’t leave you with much to ponder on.

Tap at brewery. Smells sweet with caramel, chocolate, and coffee notes. Dark brown appearance with a light brown head. Sweet chocolatey taste. Medium body with soft carbonation. Smooth sweet finish. My wife’s favorite beer. We get a growler of it whenever we can.

Enjoyed on the Tyranena patio on 7/27/12. For a stout, very easy drinking on a summer afternoon. Pours a dark, chocolate brown with a thin, cream head. Smells like a heavy roasted coffee. Tastes hint at cocoa and burnt coffee. Again, very light and easy drinking for those not used to drinking a heavier beer.

Brown-black with a fine head covering, and horizontal streaks of lace. The taste is smooth oatmeal, toast, caramel, and milk chocolate. Flavor grows through the palate until bitter caramel drops by to round it off. Very easy drinking, memorable, recommended.
