COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A South German-style hefeweizen. The beer is characterized by a fruity and pheloic aroma and flavor. Hop flavor and aroma are absent and low hop bitterness. A medium bodied beer with high carbonation. The color is deep golden. The unfiltered yeast makes this beer cloudy. Available in the Summer

Light, refreshing, straight forward. Had this one a little late in the season. A nice flavor of citrus, orange, lemon, apple. Light body.

At Fork on Lincoln. Good banana clove hefeweizen. Some more minerally taste than some others of the style. Slight tartness. Serving: Tap

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated very hazy yellow colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was malty wheat and banana. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of wheat banana and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Tap at Three Fires. Banana, wheat malt, and clove aroma. Hazy golden with a moderate white head. Sweet banana, clove, wheat malt flavor. Medium creamy body, light carbonation. Very nice.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Thick, unfiltered orange-tan. Steady, thin, white head. Clovy, creamy banana aroma. Crisp and drinkable, with some solid citrus and clove notes. Fresh and pretty true to style. Lots of yeasty creaminess.

On tap at brewery, pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head and spotty lacing, the aroma is of banana and clove with other spices mixed in, the flavor is crisp and clean with a citrus touch in the finish, pretty darn enjoyable.

On tap at Rich Os. Hazy golden body with a fizzy, white head, rapidly diminishing. Classic aroma of banana and clove with hints of toasted wheat grain and citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, slick texture that’s overrun by lively carbonation. Some fruity, hefe flavors of sweet banana and clove, but there is a hint of nail polish remover and more bitterness than tartness found in hefeweizens.

Tap at New Albanian. Peach, bubblegum, clove and wheat malt aroma. Hazy amber color with small head. Sweet peach, apple, clove and wheat malt flavor. Low carbonation. Solid - heavy clove and pretty sweet.

On tap at Sugar Maple. Straw gold, semi-hazy. Banana, fruit esters, clove. Flavor to match. Average to sub-par hefe, but definitely not a drain pour. Easy drink.

On tap at the brewery - Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Light spic and bubble gum on the nose, with cloves and a bit of frutiness. Tons of bubble gum and wheat in the taste, gentle, with a light frutiness, and touch of cloves. I suppose I just described the nose, but hey--they were pretty similar. A bit watery and thin, and this really degraded from the beer. The best hefes I’ve had have a little heft to them and a slickness that contrasts the light flavors. This one didn’t.
