Deep copper colored out of the bottle with a thin beige foam ring around the edge of the glass. Nose of caremels with some citrus. Grainy maltiness, white sugar sweetness, light bready notes and a subtle citrus finish. Okay beer that was better with a sandwich. Thanks to JCapriotti for the bottle.

Bottle. Orange amber color, minimal foamy head with a decent bit of carbonation. Flavor is rich roasted malt, a bit of bread, some spiciness toward the end. More hops and spice than the average Marzen. Medium bodied, a bit chalky on the palate. More flavor than most similar style beers. Good stuff.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Pours a clear copper color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Flavor and aroma is toasted malt. Light to medium body. A decent Märzen. Thanks Bill.

Pours amber with yellow head. Malty aroma with hints of grassy hops. A little skunk. Smooth, with malt in the front and some spicy hoppiness on the tail end. Would prefer it to have a little more body/mouthfeel and character. Warmth on the way down.

Amber to orange with a thin white head that quickly fades. Aroma of sweet malt, spice, bread and Vienna. Taste is somewhat spicy and definitely malty with some lager yeast mixed in. Kinda watery and finishes mildly spicy. So-so.

Bottle - Clear amber pour with a small, bubbly head. Not much smell - some malt, but that’s about it. Taste is smooth and malty, but not over the top. It’s pleasant with a little lactose in the background. It feels like a lot of Tyranena beers -- smooth and creamy with just enough carbonation. Decent, but pretty forgettable.

On tap at the brewery in a stein, pours a nice clear amber color with a thick white head, the aroma was very sweet with malt and the flavor has a great malt finish, very smooth and nice.

Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and grassy hops. The taste is toasted malts, green apple and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.

From a 12 oz. twist off stubby bottle with blurbs on the label, no freshness dates, but this is the fall ’06 release. Poured a amberish copper with a foamy, fluffy head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing, minimal amount of sticking. Floral and fruity aromas with touches of toasted grain and caramel. Good, steady carbonation and a softly crisp, smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant Oktoberfest taste, a soft toasted grain, a light tasting sweet caramel, hints of toffee, floral and fruity hops that have a subdued spiciness, and in the finish, some earthy nuttiness and sweet maltiness. A nice drinkable seasonal Oktoberfest from Tyranena, I personally would have like a little more grain and malt flavor, but still drinkable, a Wisconsin friend told me this is better from the tap.
