COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Headless Man is brewed in the "old way" of a Düsseldorf-style Altbier. A unique cold lagering process gives this amber ale its smooth taste.

Tap at the taproom July 30th. Notes are lacking in text. This wasn’t my favorite amber.

(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Orange pour with white head. Light malt, some nutty and other malty aromas. Flavors are amber malt, some malt tones.

Not a bad beer but very mild on the tongue and watery. Not surprising at 5%. Carmel golden flavors with a very slight burnt tongue flavor. Enjoyable beer with a light hop. Just thin is the only bad part. Thin fading head.

Pours a nice copper color with off-white head. Caramel malts mainly on the nose, a little toffee too; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a roast character.

Pour (Happy Gnome Beer Dinner) copper color with an off white head, plain malt taste and not much else, meh, okay

Light amber pour. Smells like soda and raspberries... Flavor is nutty, slight hops, fruits. Fuck you Tyranena this is not an altbier. But it isn’t terrible

Hazy deep golden orange pour with a thin bubbly white head and light lacing .... aroma of caramel, some spicy cinnamon and toasted malts ..... taste is of caramel malts and light toasted malts with a spicy almost cinnamon like bite ... has that slight burnt caramel to it .... mouthfeel is smooth and it has a very light bitter and malty finish .... sessionable and simple altbier

Not a good beer at all. Amber color. Musty aroma and musty taste. Seems more like a macro brew trying to be "premium". Won’t be trying this one again, no question. Blech.

Rated on 5-27-2010 (Bottle) This beer forms a small very fizzy beige head with a short retention, transparent amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, hint of mustiness and fruity. The taste is sweet, very light bitterness, caramel malt, fruity, and dry. The palate is smooth and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very easy to drink, almost too easy. It is a session beer and a beer I might drink again.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a semi-hazy amber with a beige head of foam. Musty, grassy, catty, herbal aroma. Sweeter in the aroma. Earthy for sure. Medium bodied.
