Pours bright amber with medium head. Aroma is full of caramel though a bit too much almost sickly sweet. The taste is sweet and citrusy with lots of malt. Doesn’t finish too well but still refreshing.

Not a good beer at all. Amber color. Musty aroma and musty taste. Seems more like a macro brew trying to be "premium". Won’t be trying this one again, no question. Blech.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 5-27-2010 (Bottle) This beer forms a small very fizzy beige head with a short retention, transparent amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, hint of mustiness and fruity. The taste is sweet, very light bitterness, caramel malt, fruity, and dry. The palate is smooth and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is very easy to drink, almost too easy. It is a session beer and a beer I might drink again.

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a semi-hazy amber with a beige head of foam. Musty, grassy, catty, herbal aroma. Sweeter in the aroma. Earthy for sure. Medium bodied.

I thought this beer was great. Way better than a Fat Tire, but much more rare. OK, so, I’m a sucker for amber ales, and I love German style Pilsners and Oktoberfests. This is a good mix of the syles. This Altbier was very smooth and I’ll definetly pick up a six-pack in the future.

Draft at the brewpub. Orange-copper color, quiet and still, no head. Again, quite clean, but nothing noteworthy on the positive side. This is extremely simple, but borders on flavorless, watery. (#5098, 7/2/2013)

Malty. Dry. Caramel. Earth. Little sweet. Soft and creamy. Not something to delve into too deeply, but not bad..
