WHAT A BEER FOR #200 LtJudge (353), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Sep 28, 2006 Pours a deep amber color with a small white head.HUGE piney hop aroma with hints of caramel.Wonderful big piney hop flavor with grapefruit flavors busting through. Also has a nice caramel malt backing and a bitterness that lasts for a long time! This is a Wonderful Brew! DocLock (4083), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2006 Big thanks to MIBRomeo for this one. The pour is deep coppery with medium off-whte head. The aroma is massive, pummeling the nose with tons of tropical fruity hops, caramel malt, and perfumy florals. You’ll smell this more thna your fingers after a heavy session with your mistress! The flavor is very hoppy and fruity, with tangerine, honeydew, and mango hints, and a hop presence that never lets up, wafted by a perfumy floral mid-palate. This one doesn’t eclipse the Dread, but it gets pretty close! brewblackhole (1222), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Sep 27, 2006 Tangy, exhuberantpotent hop aroma, has almost a nostril drilling hop sharpness, wide scope of big hop taste, more piney then citrusy, pine needle and grapefruit aftertaste, all in a wash of malt sweetness, thats present, even prominent costarring but still bowing to the delicious hop . Rob Larson’s greatest hop performance,I dont think he can top this,we will need to see this more often, definitely preferred to the BWFH Ughsmash (2958), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Sep 30, 2006 Bottled. Poured a lovely shade of fiery medium orange with a short-lived cap of off-white headage... clear pour with light lacing that was marred by hop oils and alcohol. The aroma was a juicy hop assault on the nose... grapefruit, pear, pine, and Mandarin oranges were the key players... sweet caramel and mild woodiness support the hoppy goodness. Spritzy pine needles and alcohol really "pop" at the tip of the tongue, transitioning to bunches of juicy citrus (orange and grapefruit), perfume, and pear hops supported by ample doses of sweet caramel. Just luscious on the palate... perfectly soft carbonation, an ideal (high) level of bitterness in the right places, and a long, bitter, and warm finish. Phenominal brew! Keep these special releases coming!
