On tap at Hopleaf. Pours a dark brown colour with a frothier tan head, quite cloudy. Slight roasted malt aroma, a little nutty with some slight caramel sweetness. Taste is somewhat sweet and malty, slightly dry as well. Medium body, soft carbonation, and smooth on the palate. Overall a decent brown ale.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pour is clear brown with small egg-shell colored head and decent lacing. Cookie malt, some cocoa, light spice, some cinnamon, roasty, and toffee in the aroma. Taste is brown malt, toffee, ripe prunes, grapey, light toast, and cocoa. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with off white head that quickly fades. Not much lacing. Faint aroma of caramel and toffee maybe a little bourbon. Taste is moderate sweet with mild bitterness. Toffee, caramel, biscuits, maple and a faint bourbon taste. Definitely not as much bourbon as I expected. Pretty good for a brown ale. Definitely sessionable beer with pretty good flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent for a brown, but not much bourbon to be found. Still good enough to drink more, though

12oz bottle pours a dark amber/brown with a medium khaki head. Fruity aroma with caramel and cocoa, oaky vanilla, and a touch of bourbon. Oak and bourbon are on the forefront of the palate with sweet caramel malt underneath. Yep bourbon in a brown ale.

12oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet brown malts, nutty with touches of bourbon, hazelnut, vanilla, dark bread and brown sugar. Clear medium brown in color with a nonexistent head and therefore no lacing to speak of. Flavor is similar to aroma, except with a touch more hop bitterness than expected, nice nutty malt finish, some hop spice also. Thin and effervescent mouthfeel, body is medium. Touch of earthiness late. Interesting stuff.
