12oz bottle, no date--though it’s been bottled within the last few weeks. Crystal clear amber orange with a one finger creamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma is full of juicy citrus and mango hops, bitter orange rind, and a solid caramel backbone. Flavor still has all of the juicy hops with plenty of the caramel malts from keeping this a one-dimensional hop bomb, and bringing us into the second (not third, though)! Biitterness peaks around a 6-7 in the semi-dry finish. Moderate carbonation with a medium body. With the orange added to this, I figured it would be comparable to the Buckeye 76 IPA, but it’s missing the orange sweetness the Buckeye had. Pretty solid IPA--I’m sure the West Coasters will crap all over it and call it vegetal.

12 oz bottle that was bottled on June 11th 2008 from tytoanderso, thanks Tyler. Pours a very good looking reddish/orange with a large tight bubbly creamy off white head. Aroma was showing some signs of fading with a good dose of malty sweentess, liquid caramel and grainy cereal, starting to dominate. Some floral hop notes were there as well and to a lesser extent citrus. Medium bodied with light average carbonation and a smooth finish. Flavor has more hop bitterness then the aroma with a good bite especially in the end. If this fights Scurvy can I get my medical insurance to buy me a few cases, I’ll happily kick in my $5.00 copay.

Seems like a typical offering for a Midwest IPA. Has the high bitter hops, the malt backbone and the fruity notes obscured by a very active malt profile. Aroma is malts, hop profile is bitter but not very floral. Flavor is smooth, and not aggressive. Pours clear copper with white head.

Bottle, thanks to LilBeerDoctor! Pours clear copper with a thick and lacy off-white head. Aroma of citrus and toffee. Light body and fine carbonation. (I’m trying to separate the orange peel from the hoppy citrus with no luck... I’ve got a cold at the moment and my sniffer isn’t currently up to par, so there may be tons of other stuff lurking in the aroma and taste.)

Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells earthy. Tastes resiny with a citrussy finish.

Draft. poured a clear copper-orange color with an off white head. Hop dominated aroma with pine resin and citrus fruits in the forefront. There were also goodly whiffs of caramel and graham cracker. Delicately sweet with moderate to assertive bitterness of about 7 out of 10. Grapefruity, orange-ish flavors supported by some malty toffee. Not bad.
