Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 17, 2008 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of peaches as well as a light flowery hoppy note, leading to a dry and very bitter finish. igneous1 (1366), Davenport, Iowa, USA Sep 6, 2008 deep copper colo, almond-colored creamy head. aroma is bright and citrusy with a monster caramel maltiness. Flavor has a nice caramel and toasty quality to it. plenty of hops and not as sweet as I would have imagined based on the nose. finishes with a crisp and slightly earthy quality and the bitterness lingers. 17thfloor (726), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 12, 2008 Pours a ruby/orange almost purple color with a nice off-white medium foam on top. Interesting malt aroma, rye? sweet and pungent, floral hops, way different for an IPA. Totally tastes like rye malts, lightly fruity, a little bit sugary sweet, and some bittering hops. Kinda salty in the finish, pine and resin. Medium/light body, not sticky, great smooth small bubble carbonation. If its not rye that taste must come from the roast... I like that flavor. ucusty (1210), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 23, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville NC - thanks to Facto for this tasty treat. Very refreshing after a few stouts. Dark amber pour; almost copper with white head and nice lace. Floral aroma. Piney flavor with a nice dry finish JCB (1061), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jul 20, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to Facto for sharing! Another winner from Tyranena, a well balanced, hop forward pale that’s meaningfully distinct from their other offerings like Bitter Woman and Hop Whore. Rich and creamy pour and body, nice floral aroma, and a slightly dry, chalky finish. Satisfying even if not too unique.
