hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 17, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a medium golden-yellow color with a very small sized head. Aromas of strong grain, light honey, corn, and maybe some lemons. Tastes of honey, grain, and citrus. Not overly sweet. Thin body. muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Dec 3, 2006 12 oz bottle (Woodmans on Gammon Road, Madison WI August 2006) served from a Unibroue glass between cellar and fridge temperature. Fairly stable slow-dying snow-white head tops a light amber-gold clear body....honey, lemon and subtle floral hints in the aroma, a bit grainy and faintly tart....sweet, pale-malt flavor, fairly dull but quite drinkable, no real hops detected...creamy-smooth mouthfeel seems pleasant enough at first but overabundant carbonation ends up making it too fizzy and soda-like. Not amongst Tyranena’s better products... Cornfield (4329), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 14, 2007 This has a very pale yellow body with a respectable creamy white head. There’s a faint aroma of dried grains and honey along with a suggestion of fresh grasses. Sweet but not cloying, it tastes mildly malty with a bit of citrus juices and a glob of honey. Decent lawnmower beer. Murray’s Wine and Spirits, Whitefish Bay, WI
JPDIPSO (4266), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 26, 2005 Draft at the brewery. Light golden color with a moderate white head. Likely isn’t fair that I am trying this after the wee heavy and the barley wine, but this should be a test of a lighter brew. Mild dry orange blossom honey and touch of lemon and floral hops. Dry flavors in line with a honey ale. Simple malt and dry honey. Decently brewed and a easy simple quaff.
