"Drinkers of this brand are fond of its delicate hop aroma, golden color and thick, white head. The aroma, being the assurance of excellent taste, is beyond the reach of most Polish beers." 11.7P

2007 beers of the world 12oz bottle...again, off-white disappearing head, seems like a beers of the world theme...mild malty aroma, faint citrus quality, orange rind perhaps....ok body, bitter-ish finish...tsk tsk you Tyskie

SABMiller mass producted stuff. Little sweet, little carbonation, little hoppy aftertaste. You can drink a lot of Tyskie without any problem:)

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded quickly. The aroma was sour, tangy and lightly peppery. The flavor was tangy, dry and had a crisp peppery and floral hop note. The finish was dry and crisp.

Tyskie Gronie is a very clear, quite sparkling, pale golden lager with a white head that fades to a bubbly film. The aroma is pretty faint and mostly corn and citrus with a generic grain as an olfactory backdrop. It is light, smooth and bubbly on the tongue. This is on the bitter side for a premium lager, which is good. The hops may have noble qualities. The malt is grainy at first and then it dives into an alcoholic rumble. It’s like someone threw some hops in a malt liquor... with a decidedly fruity direction. Something like lemon pepper lingers. I feel that if I were drinking this in a public establishment, I’d probably be in a mildly uncomfortable situation.

Bottle: actually enjoyed this bottle. Aroma is indeed hoppy as advertised but not in a bad way. Got a 6pk of this Pilsner Urquell and Peroni in a Euro sampler and out of them all I liked this one the most..

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small (not thick like the commercial description says) head. Aroma is indeed vey hoppy (as I like it), with some malts and something sweet that I can’t point out exactly. Nice long hoppy aftertaste. A really good lager!

Can (thanks to rlgk and larsniclas!) shared with a bunch of RB:s. Pale yellow with a medium white head. Weak malt aroma with clear notes of honey, n hops. Thin and watery, sweet with low bitterness.

500ml bottle.
Pours a pale olive tinted yellow with an average sized foamy white head. Smells very sweet, like cream soda and bubblegum with a bit of hops hidden beneath. Tastes similar to the aroma, cream soda, sourdough bread and maybe some dark roasted malts. Finishes with some grainy, grassy hops. Easy drinking. Nicely carbonated. Probably the best lager I’ve had. Has a couple of surprises.

Rated while drinking: Pours a buff-looking color with a fluffy white head. Some chunky lacing too. Sweet and peppery on the nose. No skunkiness. Tastes similar to the aroma with a tad bit more complexity. The bitter pepper flavor takes a very long time to fade away. Watery body, but has more substance than any American macro. Pretty good.
