Bottle, from High Spirits in Cleethorpes. Gold, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Initially fruity/estery in the nose soon subsiding leaving gentle sweet malt. Unbalanced hop bitterness in the mouth that becomes quite drying, background starchiness doing little to improve matters. Bitterness remains in the finish, although some hints of mothballs emerge.

Tyskie Gronie has sort of an odd flavor for a pilsner. Yes, itís metallic. Yes, itís grassy. But thereís something else odd going on (and it doesnít taste all that great, whatever it is). Mild hops and a tad watery. Fairly indistinguishable from its competition.

Golden colour, average white head. Malty, fruity nose with some hints of moist cellar. Flavour is malty as well with some grassyness. Medium bodied. Low bitterness in finish.

I didnít hate this beer and I donít want to go and and buy another 6 pack. It kept reminding me of something from one of the big three. Worth a try but donít expect it to be an eye opener.

Bottle. Light golden colour with a slim white head. Grassy and malty aroma with a very slight touch of skunk. Thin bodied with malty and metallic taste. Mediocre.

standard for the style, a bit sugary, with crispy malt finish, very very medium

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Fairly indistiguishable from any other Eastern European lager: golden, big & fast-white head, grassy/burnt aromas & flavors (after slight skunky notes), tinny finish. This one, however, had rubbing alcohol in the aroma and noticable diacetyl in aroma & taste... yum!

500ml bottle from AP Foods. Pretty nondescript lager. Pale gold colour. Vaguely grassy aroma. The flavour is way too sweet with nothing much to provide a counterbalance. Thin, sweet and on the flabby side. Not undrinkable, but I wouldnít rush out to buy this again.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smell is a little sharp but with a floral lager quality. Standard lager colour with a thin head. Taste is again standard, but with a nice unexpected hoppy richness at the end. Ok.

Yellow body. Hoppy aroma and taste. A small short lasting head and a watery body. nothing special, rather boring actually
