"Drinkers of this brand are fond of its delicate hop aroma, golden color and thick, white head. The aroma, being the assurance of excellent taste, is beyond the reach of most Polish beers." 11.7P

Bottle. Clear golden in color with a nice white head. Sweet malty aroma. Hoppy notes. Hoppy and malty flavor. Clean and crisp tasting. Nice beer.

Bottle. Great looking white, dense head. Some corn in the aroma and some DMS but it looks like a promising beer. Flavor has some sweetness (honey) but finished pretty clean. Why do pale lagers get such a bad rap on this site? How does the highest rated PL only have an 84 percentile? Anyway, the beer ain’t bad.

Bottle: Pours a light golden color with a small white head. Aroma is pungent with lager malts and hints of grassiness. Soft malty flavor into a watery sweetness. No real bitters here only hints of grass. Just another bland lager.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2008 330ml bottle. Pale golden body with a small white head. Not much aroma at all. Flavor is a bit sweet, harsh malty, almost no finish. Really bad stuff.
Re-rated as 500ml can. Same score, this is really terrible. Sweet, soapy, harsh and out of balance.

Gold color. Grainy bready malt aroma. Flavor is the same with a grassy finish. I thought it sucked.

12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington VT (December 2007), sampled a few minutes out of the fridge from a Christoffel glass. Voluminous head fills over 1/2 the glass, dying slowly atop the very clear light gold-straw body and leaving feathery lacing....slight grainy nose has just a faint whiff of industrial/plastic noxiousness, but is not skunked....sweet, quite cloying, syrupy front fades quickly and is replaced by a bitter, rather metallic/mineralic quality that carries through to the finish....carbonation is on the low side; faint hoppy notes do occur after a few sips, and the industrial quality fades a bit though it never goes away entirely. On the whole, drinkable but not good at all.

The worst Polish joke I’ve ever had. Pours an average yellow. Slight skunk nose/taste. Skunk taste/smell is unusual for a brown bottled beer. So I didn’t hold it against it. I assume the skunk comes from age/shipping. There is absolutely no taste/smell/flavor/character/aftertaste or anything else to speak of. If it weren’t for the slight skunk smell/taste, this would be like drinking air. I’ve had water with more flavor and body. Completely worthless. 99 cents for a 12 ounce bottle at Pick-N-Save in West Allis, Wisconsin on 12/27/2007.

Clear golden in color. Aroma is cereal grains, light pils sweetness, and some DMS. Taste is light DMS, with some cereal and bready pils malt- hints of spicy hops with a balanced hop bitterness. Not too bad...

not much going on anywhere, but clean and drinkable, not actively offensive.

12oz brown bottle from a European sampler pack. Pours translucent yellow/light tan very lightly colored body with virtually no head. Smells grainy-sweet with a hint of DMS. Tastes like biscuit and caramel malt with hints of hops and DMS. Medium in body with slightly less carbonation than expected. Tastes much better than it looks, and one sip definitely invites another. A beer that I wouldn’t necessarily seek out, but would not refuse either. Very drinkable with few flaws.
