exit, very soft grassiness lingers.   I am surprised by this one, enjoying it way more than I thought I would.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Yeah, quite clean on the exit.   This was too easy to drink, not astringent,
not overly sweet, just a well balanced Lager.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Bottle - I was in the mood for a crisp lager, and that’s exactly what I got here. The pour was pretty bleh, with a clear, light amber and a frothy white head. The smell was wonderful -- clean, bright floral hops and sweet fruit, with some light malt lingering below. The taste left something to be desired, with some slightly sweet malt, a floral, grassy middle, and a bitter, nutty finish. Pretty watery and thin, but that’s to be expected. Better than I expected. | 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Polish beer tends to be a bit higher in alcohol, and also excessivley hopped when compared to others of its style (in this case, lager or Pils). I’ve found most of the Polish offerings pretty good, and worthy of a second purchase, but Tyskie is not one of them!
The beer poured a deep yellow, with a small, short lasting head; giving it the appearence of a cream soda. No aroma at all... none! Fairly nice body, but that was about it. Very light, slight wine-like undertones in the flavor, with malt and hops barely detectable.
If there was anything good to be said about this beer at all, it is that it was relativley inexpensive for an import (I paid less than 12 bucks for a 12 pack), but then that kind of praise may be bordering on desperation! JFGrind (1361), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
