3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap U Richarda center (04/03/13). Clear amber pour with abundant white head. Toasted grain is dominant, light grassy notes, probably the hoppiest of the Richard beers, light caramel malt notes accompany the toasted aromas well. Fresh toast flavor, very light sweetness, light grassy finish, some toffee. Fluffy palate, a little drier than the other Richard offerings, quite interesting.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
My Bottom Line:
Caramelized, honeyed malts are balanced out by wooden hops and their bitterness in this friendly, malty brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the translucent amber.
-Aroma is again quite mild in this one.
-U Richarda’s brewer seems to be a malt lover, no doubt.
-This is not a ’Black and Tan’ done at the bar. It is an actual blend of two brews done at the brewery itself.
On tap at the downtown location.
