On tap @ the brewpub (including a "real" berry). A bit artifical with notes of fruit syrup, rubber, almonds and yeast.

Hazy hazelnut brown color, creamy off-white head. Cherry candy and strawberry in the otherwise nutty nose. Vanilla and cherry in the flavor. Crisp and sweety. Typical Czech cherry-beer, which seem to be quite common nowadays in the brewpubs. Some hops in the aftertaste under the cherry domination.

From draught at the brewpub. Amber colour with creamy white head. Lightly acidic cherry in aroma, very pleasant and balanced. The cherry flavour feels natural and fitting here. Surprisingly low on the sweetness, at 14°. Good beer.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange bottom of the glass holds a cherry and a lacing creamy white head. Aroma is mild acidic cherry and yeasty. Flavour is mild almondy cherry, mild and towards medium dry. Light yeasty spice note to a medium dry malt base and light cherry fruity flavour into a lingering mixed finish.

Tap @ the brewpub.
Pours lightly hazy amber with a beautiful, creamy, off-white head. Good lacing. AND, there is a whole cherry in the beer. Aroma is quite malty, with a fine note of sweet cherry. Not too much, just balanced nicely with the malts. High carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly sweet, some definite maltiness, a little pepper. The fruit is used well for light sweetness. I’m probably one of the few who actually liked this.

imdownthepub (8470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2008
Draught at the Brewpub. Notes give 14 to 18 degrees. Clouded brown with slight dull head. The cherry is quite evident and nicely natural, a little sour which was quite pleasant. However the body of the beer was really cardboardy with an unrestrained alcohol, nasal burn. Such a pity.

On tap at the brewery, day 2 of RBESG. Cloudy reddy orange with thin lasting beige head. Yes, it has a cherry aroma, slightly chalky. NOt overly artificial. I’d prefer a sweet commercial Belgian kriek to this. Bit of sourness. but not great.

Draught. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sour cherry mised with barnyard and rubber. Flavour is the same, but without the rubber.

Cloudy copper color, with a cherry in it, white head. Perfumy cherry scent. Sweet cherry taste. Bitter almond and marzipan aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Tap in the brewpub, nice as it comes with a cherry in it. Alround rating: There seems to be a decent amount going on in this beer, but perhaps too much as i found it hard to really pin anything down.
