Draft at 5.4% ABV. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of wheat and cloves. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, barley, straw, cloves, and a hint of bananas, leading to a dry finish.

Leicht bananiger Antrunk, hell würzig. Erfrischend, die Bananigkeit wird noch etwas intensiver. Hefig, wenig herb. 11/11/10/9//10

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2016 re-rated 7.2016; draught@brewpub - cloudy pale orange beer with a little white foam left; yeast and banana dominate; sweet, medium carbonation, light chewy palate, gently spicy with notes of cloves and banana in the finish; residual sugars - ok yet too sweet

On draught at the brewpub ("nano" 20cl size) as "Ueli Weizen obergärig". The beer is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, bananas and clove. Light body with flavors of wheat, yeast and sweet banana. The finish is clean and wheaty with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

100ml, 5.4 % abv, draught at the brewpub. A wheat haze to golden body. A bubbly ring at the surface. Dotted spots on the glass. Spiced fruity aroma with banana sweetness. Flavours of ripe banana, wheat, and clove with a touch of citrus to the ending. Medium bodied. Not overly sweet, decent version of the style (Basel 27.07.2014).

draught at Lällekönig Basel with Allen. Thanks for sharing this with me. Slightly hazy only, rather small white head. Sourish wheaty nose, dry. Shy malty-whetay background with a sourish fruity (no banana here!) character. Wheaty and dry. The flavour resembles that of Kristallweizen. In fact, it seems like a mixture of Kristallweizen and very old-fashioned Bavarian wheatbeer with a dry character. Very interesting.
