Draught @ Fischerstube, Nov.2012. Pours cloudy blond with a frothy white head. Aroma is dominated by clove but there’s also apricot and bubblegum. Tastes a little sour and then sweet. Spicy. Tarragon comes to mind. Chewy texture, full-bodied, long bready finish. A really cool beer.

On tap at Fischerstube, Basel. Poured hazy yellow orange in colour with fluffy white head. Wheat spices and yeast in aroma. Flavour dry wheat with some hints of banana light spice notes. Nice and pleasant aftertaste with wheat being mostly in forefront.

On draught at the brewpub ("nano" 20cl size) as "Ueli Weizen obergärig". The beer is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, bananas and clove. Light body with flavors of wheat, yeast and sweet banana. The finish is clean and wheaty with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Cloudy blond color. Quite nice aroma. Typical, yeast and light banana. Sweeter than the average Weizen, malty, a bit fruity. Light final.

I?ve tried it severall times in Basel,Switzerland, where it is brewed. Whenever you are in switzerland it is absolutly worth trying that restaurant/ pub with inhouse brewery. One of the best hefeweizen you can drink. Sweeter and less complex than the german one´s.

Draught @ Fischerstube, Rheingasse 45, 4058 Basel, Switzerland.

Unclear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, bubble gum fruity, yeast, butter notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, fruity, bubble gum ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111110]

draught at Lällekönig Basel with Allen. Thanks for sharing this with me. Slightly hazy only, rather small white head. Sourish wheaty nose, dry. Shy malty-whetay background with a sourish fruity (no banana here!) character. Wheaty and dry. The flavour resembles that of Kristallweizen. In fact, it seems like a mixture of Kristallweizen and very old-fashioned Bavarian wheatbeer with a dry character. Very interesting.
