3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beer pours out in a light, very light, hazy cloudy colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of nuts and dark roasu hops. Taste of nuts, hops, torf, leaves and caramel. Very easy and nice to drink, enjoyed it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Uerige @ Carsh-Haus, Düsseldorf; bottled 06.08 (I guess that means 2 months ago, 6th June 2013), bb 06.12
Hazy brown color with medium sized creamy head. Vulgar aroma, dirty water, dark malts, puke. Smooth mouthfeel; dry caramel flavor, some yeast flavor too; ordinary bitterness.
A dirty beer, losing all the elegance and freshness of a good Alt.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl fliptop, fresh from the source. Thanks ThirstyBird! This pours as a hazier, creamier version of their regular Alt and I wonder whether it is the unfiltered quality that clouds the typical Uerige leafy and herbal hop qualities here. Toasted, slightly sweet caramel malts remain dry and enjoyable, but the rich and creamy yeast profile does detract a bit from what I love most about this unique German equivalent to an ESB.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 500 ml, poured into an alt type glass at home. Many thanks to ThirstyBird for this bottle! ABV 4.7%
Light amber orange colour, hazy and muddy, with a big, light beige head on top. Very good retention, light lacing on the glass as I drink it. The body seems to clear after a while , becoming more transparent and revealing light activity in it.
Aroma of malts, hay and straw. Not very appealing but not that bad either.
Nice taste, slighty sweet at first, again with some hay in it, also a bit yeasty I suppose, some hops too. Mild bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium body, average carbonation, very dry on the palate.
Being unfiltered makes it of course different than what I am used to but overall quite good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Scheez...I live in Düsseldorf and have somehow not rated this one yet. Pours very hazy medium brown with orange highlights and a creamy tan head. Smell is toasted malt, fruit and some herbal qualities. Taste is toasted malt, fruit, yeast, a bit peppery and dry and sightly bitter on the aftertaste. Carbonation is course and above average. Overall this beer is about 7 weeks old so I will try it again and see if the results are any different.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy, dark brown. Somewhat like muddy water. Not much nose to it. Some citrus, caramel, chocolate and nuts. Rich and tasty with long bitter finish. Wheaty taste with some caramel. Finally a decent alt at Systembolaget again!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dirty grayish-brown with a wheat-induced head that settles as a fine layer on top of the beer. But it’s not a looker. The aroma is discretely fruity. The taste is the let down. Unbalanced bitterness brings a sour overtone to the beer. It drags out to a long sour aftertaste that makes you want to wash the beer down with another beer. Disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Pours hazy brown in color with a small head. A bit of yeasty notes, some yeast and and a bit of bitterness. Same goes for the taste, slightly too yeasty, with some bitter and malty sweet notes as well.
Not as good as the regular uerige alt.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, within BBE. Brown, hazy (mudwater). Nose is predominately brown malty - somewhat bready brown malts, a bit nutty, some caramel/toffee. But there’s quite a bit of hops in there as well, and yeasty residue. Body is lightish. Lots of light brown maltyness, and bitter. Noble hoppyness, dusty yeastiness. With a bit of a nutty/toffeee finish. This is really good drinkable stuff. A bit more dusty-yeasty / raw than the filtered, naturally, but has still the alt- cleaness. Feels a bit like a dunkel kellerbier or something.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Full bodied and awfully cloudy. Big toffee and biscuit malt with a vegemite aftertaste. Some hops in the finish but the yeast seems to hold it back a bit. Solid, but I prefer the filtered version.
