Leichter Malzantrunk, etwas hefig. 6/8/9/8/10/8

0.5 l fliptop from an Uerige shop in Düsseldorf. It shows a dark amber with a fine pored, laceing, off-white head on top, the carbonation’s average. It smells malty, fruity with caramell notes in the back. The start is moderate crisp, the taste is sweet, flavour’s fruity (pear). The middle is primely of citrus/resin hops, then of caramell/roasted malt. It finishes citric, tiny harsh and dry which remains at last in a spicy aftertaste. An interesting Alt with a medium body and a light sticky texture.

Bottled at PBF. Cloudy nut brown, rich lively head. Roasty and fruity. Very salty with light-medium body, soft moutheel. Dry and heavily hoppy with quite aggresiive resiny bitterness. Not at all as good as the stuff from the wood, but that goes without saying. Good altbier doesn’t travel.

(50cl bottle, Nicht Filtriert version) Pours a murky amber body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted bread, light florals, grass, and grain. Flavor of caramel, toasted malt, hops (earthy, grass, light herbal), and yeast.

Hmmm...the regular cask alt at the brewpub can’t be filtered, so I don’t get it. Hazy dull amber. Toasty, with some slight mushroomy oxidation. Hoppy, dry, yeasty and toffee-accented malts. Firm, assertive and quite dry.
