3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Defreni (1778) - Husum, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2010
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 brekeriet (139) - SWEDEN - JUL 12, 2010
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2010 On tap at brewery and 500ml bottle. Aroma: Malty, mushroomy, fruity. Appearance: Nice long lasting head.
Taste: sweet and bitter. A bit too bitter.
Palate: astringent.
Much better on bottle than on tap. Probably something wrong with the one on tap.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Niko100 (1083) - New York, USA - JUL 9, 2010

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 nickd717 (3242) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 23, 2010
On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City. Pours cloudy medium brown with a lasting off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is malty and nutty for the most part. Nice but not too much to it. Flavor is not sweet at all. Caramel malt, grain, slight fruitiness, and slight hops. Medium-bodied and crisp with good carbonation. Very good for the style overall, but not outstanding for a beer in general.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (3585) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 24, 2010
Tap at Ginger Man NYC. Pours a lightly hazy red-brown with a medium, white head. Mostly malty nose, some caramel and fruits, some roast. Flavor is rather sweet up front, more caramel and perhaps pear and raisin, then gives way to a strong, earthy bitterness. Finishes extremely dry and bitter. Not bad.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ruskiimperial (307) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 22, 2010
This poured a very cloudy holden with little carbonation. Aroma has some serious darkfruit, like a good ol’ english barleywine. Taste has some apple candi sugar with some good hard prunes and figs. These last quite well on the aftertaste too making it not too complex but nonetheless enjoyable brew.
