4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured into a snifter. Bottled on date of 06.11. My version says 4.5%abv. Pours a cloudy dark brown with almost no head. Aroma is malt dominated. Biscuit, grains and caramel. Taste is very simple. Slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Light bodied with a somewhat thin and watery texture. Soft, almost flat carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Not my favorite alt but very good nonetheless.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Much darker than I expected. Also immediate aroma of fruitcake maybe? That rummy kinda sweet boozy smell. Taste is hard to describe, like toasted toffee, sweet. Was not bitter enough for me to balance the sweetness. Interesting, but I would rather drink a kölsch for Karneval.
