| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Bottle. Doppel Sticke has a very malty sweet aroma with dried fruits and honey. The color is dark brownish red with an off white head with good lacing. A bitter roasted malt flavor is balanced by a sweet dried fruit accent and mild yeasty cream like notes with a little bit of caramel. A thick and creamy mouthfeel with average carbonation stretches into a bitter sweet aftertaste. Very satisfying. shrubber85 (3017), Wallhalben, Germany
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Bottle. Vanilla/orange fruitcake aroma (initially had a wet wood/cardboard aroma that faded after setting for a few minutes. Yellow-amber color with small but long lasting head. Dried orange malt with strong citric hops finish - not cloying though. A great sipping beer - in a class by itself - a doppel-alt. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
