0,33l Flasche. Schwarzes Bier mit kleiner beiger Schaumkrone. Riecht leicht nach reifen Früchten. Schmeckt intensiv nach reifen Früchten wie Rosinen und Pflaume übergehend in Bitterschokolade. Toll abgestimmt. Wohlige Wärme.

Very unique flavor. Roasted malts, chocolates and coffee like flavors plus some fruitiness. Very bold flavors, but in a good way. The alcohol comes out a little, but not overwhelming. Every sip tasted slightly different as the temperature changed.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yes. I went 4.75 across the board. This is seriously phenomenal. It’s like a crushable dark fruit BDSA. I guess the compulsive drinkability is the German influence? This is really something else. If there were more German-made brews like this, Germany would be held in the same regard as the Belgians in the beer world.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
After a delightful pop when opening the bottle, it pours to a full head with a light brown color and releases an aroma of plums, caramel and raisins. Body is thick but not quite chewy. Finish is dry with medium bitterness and and oak characteristics. Not a session beer, but one is delicious.

Bottle @ home, brought home from Berlin. Shared with dad. Murky brownish pour with a decent head. Caramel, coconut, yeasty, syrup, tons of dark dried fruits and some overripe banana.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of Koelschtrinker, danke. Almost black pour, ivory foam, unstable. Nose: tons of vanilla, kind of whiskey (really), brandy, dry fruit. Mouth: same complexity of an imperial stout, really. More red fruit tough, less richness but equally tasty, with a drier and cleaner finish. Tasty!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @Les Vignerons (Rome). Pours amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, marzipan, sponge cake, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, malty, similar to a barley wine. Medium to full body, medium to light carbonation. Not my cup of tea.
