COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carnival comes but once a year - and you can only enjoy Sticke beer at Uerige twice a year. It contains more malt and hops and has a higher alcoholic content than normal Altbier. And our guests appreciate it! In earlier days it used to be whispered hand over mouth that Uerige was serving Sticke again because the master brewer had portioned the ingredients too generously. With today's fully-automated operation, this could not happen. So Sticke beer is brewed intentionally - and this certainly doesn't negatively effect either its quality or taste.

The two dates every year are always the same. The third Tuesday in January and October are the two Sticke days.

Nice dark brown color with a small, foamy head. Aroma ... AWESOME! It almost smells like a good wine with hints of dates. It has a good body, but only during the aftertaste. This is a quality beer

Swing top fløska. Tobacco brown with short lived ivory head. Minimal lacing. Delicious mixture of malt, caramel, nuts, chocolate, bread and fruits. Silky mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Don’t notice the hops too much but still a very enjoyable brew!

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Aroma of sweetness, herbs, light spice. Flavour is herbal and flowery. Has some vague sweetnotes and a bit fruityness. Medium to full bodied. Dry herbal bitterness in the end. Quite enjoyable.

clear brown, smooth offwhite head. sweet , flowery and herbal aroma. flavor is sweet, faint flowery, sort of fruity flavor like grapes, pepper.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a medium creamy white head. Very malty and caramelish aroma with notes of dried fruit and some cellar notes. Toasted caramel in the flavour. Some pepper, dried fruit and dusty hops. Lovely.

Draft at Churchkey shared by kmweaver. Clear orange brown pour with a thin light tan head. Toasted malt aroma with molasses and a good amount of cereal. Nutty, toasted flavor. Some sweetness and honey, though overall a dry pour. Strawberry and raspberry notes.

Pours caramelly amber with a slight haze. Fine, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is malty, sweet, some caramel. Good citric and flowery hoppiness as well. A hint of toffee. Medium carbonation, good and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely balanced, lots of sweet maltiness, toasted, caramel, grassy. Long, lingering aftertaste with good toasted caramel and a good deal of bitterness. Really nice and very drinkable.

Bottle (swing-top) at home. Clear dark brown - white head. High malty, grassy, chocolate, fruity notes, light thin body, begining to get bad... but still drinkable. Very simple.
