Nice brown color, not much head. Sweet malt aroma, mild. Much better than I expected to be honest. Was unprepared. Balanced hops with malt seetness. Not too complex just tasty. Reuse this one for homebrew.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Serving: 330 ml bottle.
Appearance: Orange-brown with a large, rocky, off-white head. Great head retention.
Aroma: A little fruity from the hops, nuts and grain notes from the malt. Fairly mild overall.
Taste:Grainy with notes of caramel malt, light fruit notes, and perhaps a touch of wood.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a light, dry mouthfeel and a medium-short finish.
Overall: I was told this is pretty much a dead on alt. If so, I am a fan. I found this one to be quite drinkable and would definitely recommend giving it a go.

On tap at the Oldsmar Tap House (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark brown hazy color with a frothy white head. Flavor is also sweet and malty with notes of ripe dark fruit, raisins, hints of prunes, caramel, and spice. Generally medium body with a sweet and malty finish.

Bottle 50cl, from Quack-duck thanks a lot ! A clear amber-red beer with good head and lacing. Nose is malty and caramel like. Aroma is malty, toasted, caramel and nutty / coconut notes, medium sweet, nice hops bouquet, floral, chocolate notes, dry fruit hints, long bitterness on aftertaste. A great Alt bier, thanks very much Stephan.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2004
Amber body with off-white head. Caramel, hops, some anise in the nose. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Flavor was moderately sweet and pleasant. Probably one of the better alts I’ve had.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - FEB 11, 2005
Bottle. Brown in color, not much head formation at all and minimal lacing left behind. Aroma is raisinish, perhaps a little molasses. Body seems a bit light, soft carbonation. Decent malt and nice hops in the finish. A bit sour. I am not that impressed with this, perhaps an oxidized bottle
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 GreatLibations (1771) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - MAY 19, 2006
Pours an amber copper color with a shallow creamy froth. Comes in a bottle shaped like a German granade. Aroma is of malted biscuits. Very nice. I am already impressed. I am waiting to take a sip. Trying to imagine the texture and flavor. Here I go. WOW, not knowing what to expect at all, this has turned into a very surprising result. I am still impressed. Flavors are dry and malty with a fresh biscuit tropshire. A creamy texture like an English bitter. A nicely ballanced sour bittering on the finish. This is a brew you can drink all day. Well ballanced, alcohol is well hidden and flavors are perfect. I love it when the bitterness is consumed with a malty backbone. Keeps you hanging in the ballance. Highly recommended.

(bottle) deep copper/brown with tan head and nice lace. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is sweetish malt, caramel, with some solid hops (pine/resin) in the finish.
