Floral, sweet perfumey nose, caramel and dark toast. Sticky beige head. Perfect chestnut hue. Sweet dark malts, dark fruit, figs, leather, wood, burnt plastic a definate, caramel, peach psychprof says..yes sir...perfect mouthfeel, medium bodied, caramel, and the most perfect balance of hops in the finish. I am very impressed. Rather bitter, Austinpowers says so, but I feel this is oh so delectable. You have this this ultimate alt. And it comes in a sweet package. And it will rock your world.

Cloudy dark brown with a thin off-white head. Pleasantly earthy hop aroma. taste is malty with a strong undercurrent of bitterness and a dark, spicy hop finish. Very earthy and solid. Very tasty.

11.2oz flip top bottle. Dark amber with a 1/2inch off white head. Sweet malt aroma with notes of caramel and grass. Malt, nut and herbs at first; finishes with some hops that stick around for a fairly long finish. There’s also a bit of ash in the finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 desurfer (1154) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - FEB 3, 2005
Pours a clear dark amber with a pillowy tan head. Aroma of smoky malt and a bit of hops. Flavor is surprisingly watery, with some caramel maltiness and German hops in the background. Tastes much less than 6.5%. Finishes sweet and moderately dry.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SlovakSniper (1149) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 27, 2011
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 matta (1140) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 2, 2005
I was very excited to see this beer on the shelf the other day! Late last spring I picked up a bottle of the regular Uerige Alt and man, I loved the stuff! It was pretty pricey, as was this at $4.45 a bottle but man it’s freaking tasty! I was told that the Florida only got 14 cases for the entire state, and one of my local homebrew shops bought up 5 of those, which should last another couple of weeks.
Pours a dark copper body with a bountiful light tan head. The aroma and flavor offer a full dose of caramel malt and certainly a heap of pilsner malt. Slightly toasty, toffee notes, toasted wheat bread similarities. The hops are very refined.. I think they are more present in the aroma and then again in the lingering finish than anything else. Nice oaky woodsy suggestions. - Man.. Something just made me think about an old girlfriend I had many years ago… Every time I think of oak like flavors I always think of her for some odd reason. Maybe because we did a lot of camping and drinking beer around the camp fire…. I’m a strange dude aren’t I! - Anyway, The finish this a delicate inter-tangled combo of toasted malt and dry tarty hops. Now this is a beer I could drink year round and enjoy each and every drop of without ever feeling routine.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JAN 22, 2008
33 cl bottle on 1/22/2008. Nearly clear deep orange/mahogany under a frothy medium light tan head. Toffee like aroma with hints of pine, spice, and vanilla. Medium body and carbonation, mild astringency that leaves a dry palate. Up front bitterness over a backdrop of caramel sweetness that remains well hidden. Finish is long and mildly bitter. A toned down version of its big brother, Doppelsticke, but very good in its own right.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 8, 2008
Pretty standard, but pretty tasty nonetheless. Hops are a little more present in this one, beautiful lacing! Sweet nutty caramel notes, some light frutiiness, slightly bitter finish.
