UPDATED: AUG 29, 2005 Cask at Piece brewery... Poured a copper color with a creamy tan head and nice lacing. Aroma of fruit, mainly banana, caramel malts, shampoo, and lots of grains. Caramel malt, slightly bitter hops, bandage, and also earthy here as well. This was a rare treat.

Golden color, medium white head. Aroma of nuts and caramel. Taste is very malty. Straightforward.

bottled but alas seemed a bit stale. aroma of raisins and caramel. quite sudbued hop presence until a late green bitter flourish. a little heavy. eczematic’s homebrewed sticke was probably better

330ml Bottle: Very malty aroma with notes of dark fruits, herbs, hazelnut, and caramel. Poured brown with a hint of amber in color and a medium-sized, dense, tan head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Cloudy. Sparkling. Lots of tiny particles. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of herbs, grass, toasted malts, salt, and nuts. Medium body.
Slightly thin, sticky texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malty, salty, grassy finish.

I've been looking for a replacement for the awesome Blimp City Akron/Macon Ale since they went out of business, and I think I have found it! The beer is a dark brown/amber with an ultra thin off-white head. Very little lacing. The aroma is nice and full, with caramel, malt and sweet fruit. Medium-bodied and very drinkable with a pleasing blend of flavors such as malt, raisin, caramel and hops. The finish is the only place it falls off a little. There is a slight metallic tinge to the fruity finish that was out of character with the beer. A slightly bigger hops finish would make it nearly perfect. As it stands though, this is one of the better Alts I have had.

Herbs (juniper) and licorice in the aroma.
Smotth blend of roast, mineral notes, and raw herbal hops.
Full body, mellow sparkling mouthfeel. Subtle juniper and licorice aftertaste.

Strong hop nose - very fresh, vaguely sweet, but all hops. Clear amber brown with white head that recedes to a thick ring. Nicely balanced. Quietly exciting flavour. Strong malt base subsumed with hops that traverse from flavouring to bittering - grassy, herbal, floral, with malt sweetness coming back in the finish. Mild tannins noticeable. Good light carbonation. Firmly medium body. Very enjoyable and a pretty bottle too. Enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere. Bottle.

No head. Light brownish red body with some haziness. Sweet powerfully floral malty aroma with cinnamon and caramel notes, slightly earthy. Sweet roasty licorice taste with some cinnamon. Very fruity. Intense cinnamon aftertaste. Incredibly delicate and well balanced. Not too powerful, but much better for it. Excellent! Really something special. (0.33l bottle.)
