COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Carnival comes but once a year - and you can only enjoy Sticke beer at Uerige twice a year. It contains more malt and hops and has a higher alcoholic content than normal Altbier. And our guests appreciate it! In earlier days it used to be whispered hand over mouth that Uerige was serving Sticke again because the master brewer had portioned the ingredients too generously. With today’s fully-automated operation, this could not happen. So Sticke beer is brewed intentionally - and this certainly doesn’t negatively effect either its quality or taste.

The two dates every year are always the same. The third Tuesday in January and October are the two Sticke days.

Bought bottle at the keg liqour store at $5.49/bottle. Good price for quality. Drank at 60 degrees. Poured dark amber with light amber tight nit bubbles the lingered for a long while. Strong winey taste but no killer notes. Very good beer.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak! Pours hazy orange/brown with an off white head. Aroma of bready yeast, fresh baked bread, sweet malts, weak cake and some old hops. The taste has what, slight tart notes, dry grains, sweet malts and bready yeast. Alright!

Bottle thanks to Bursprak. Pours a darkish, hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma smells like an old, english ipa; old hops, malty, light caramel, fruity, bready, overripe orange, yeast. Taste is somewhat sweet, hoppy bitter, light bready dry. Medium high carbonation, light to oily body.

Butelka 0,33 l 03/2017. Kolor ciemny bursztyn. Pianka drobna lecz szybko uciekajäca. Zapach suszonych owoców palonego karmelu i toffi. Smak wanilia, lekko pieprzowe, skórka chlebowa srodek dosc goryczkowy. Ogolnie charakter przypominajacy troche sherry i barrique. Stary to fantastyczne Stare Piwo.

Murky brown, dense and persistent off-white head. Intense aroma of caramel, hazelnuts, dark fruits; a hint of tea-like bitterness. More of the same in the taste, with a strong bitter finish and aftertaste. Very complex. Thin mouthfeel, expecially for the ABV, somehow still manages to unfold a wide range of flavours. Dry finish. Interesting, complex, yet quite easily drinkable
