3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is the second occasion that I have had Zum Uerige Sticke in the bottle. Both were imported to the US. In fact, my beer was dated 10.25 meaning that it was a 2005 bottle. Bloody shame!Needless to say, this beer does not seem to hold up very well in the bottle, especially after one year. The aroma had pronounced notes of prune that must have been from oxidation. The malt presence was considerable as was the hop flavor and bitterness. The balance of the clean flavors begs this to be sampled from its birthplace.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from bier-deluxe.de.
Dark copper to brown, clear body, with a medium, creamy, beige head.
Aroma of sweet berries, caramel, marzipan, dried fruits and roast.
Taste with about the same aromas, but less sweeter and with more roasty notes.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a medium carbonation and it finishes roasty, slightly bitter, sweet malty and slightly hoppy.
Nice! Full, but quaffable and with nice hoppy notes. The nose is quite unique for this style, while the taste is more typical for an Altbier, but a pretty beyond average one!

Taste was sweet, full bodied and rich. Caramel color with a smallish head. Nice and malty with medium hop bite. Finish was very clean and I wish I had another.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark red and brown, good head of foam that shrinks slowly. Got good lacing.
Smells hoppy, almost if not a fruity sort of hoppiness going on. Some bread.
Nice hoppy fruity taste with a backbone of bread malt. Also some light caramel malt.
Medium body, lightish co2.
Pretty easy drinker and I love the swing tops their beers come in. Worth more purchases.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
11.2 ounce bottle from ABV. Pours a dark copper color, almost ruby, with a medium white head. A sweet nose of berries and toffee. A sweet malty base, dusty at times, big robust fruit, a bit of blueberries, a bit of cherries, some metallic bitterness, toffee, some light leaves. Pretty awesome. This, drink a liter I could. Awesome brew.
