No more sweet sticky christmas cakes bottled and labelled as the most appropriate for the season. Rich and fatty foods want hoppy, bitter and fresh beers! It´s an orangy, lemony fresh IPA. Yeah, that’s right – we used a load of oranges! 5,9 % alk gives the beer just the right punch and the malty back bone mingles well with the aromatic and bitter hops. We used Chinook and Galaxy by the way. Dry hopped of course. Hoppy Christmas everyone!

15-AUG-2014, bottle @home, from Barleywine. Hazy amber with low lasting White head. Aroma is hops, grape fruit and pine. Taste the same with caramel, fruit and some wet cardboard. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tired?

@DØE Århus Syd: Very nice grassy aroma. Light body with despite the fine sweetness and delicious hops with Chinok and Galaxy.

Vanilla head, crocheted lacings, a bit hazy orange-golden body. Scents; resin, roasted malts, oranges, sour berries. Taste; dry bitter , peaches, oranges roasted malts, wood, bitter-flour, chocolate notes. Modest carbonation and nice body. Finishes with dark bread, roasted malts again, bitter fruity lingering and balanced. Good that I found the very last one, as brewery was sold out. A splendid dry, crisp, crunchy IPA. lovely way to chase away all the sweet flavours after a heavy Christmas dinner. In addition to this, there’s the orange flavour, so appropriate to the season. Oh, and it’s quite piney as well.

Draught at KØ14. Mild hoppy aroma, slightly piney. Cloudy orange amber colour. Nice stable white head. The flavour is nicely hoppy, slightly American. Good clean bitterness.

Flaske fra vinmonopolet. Noe uklar farge, mørk kobber, medium/lite karbonert.fyldig, kremet skumtopp. Smaker furunål, grapefrukt, appelsin, krydder, malt, karamell. En ganske kjedelig øl dette her. Litt dævv og mye maltsmak

[Thanks to Plovmand ]. Orangish/coppery color with an off-white head, medium lasting and nice lacework. Aroma has notes of resins, caramel and bittery oranges. Flavor is slightly citrus, aranges and grapefruits are in a good proportion, resins and pine wth caramel and with a good maltiness. Strong bittery final with a dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. It pours an unclear, dark golden body under a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has caramel maltyness, pine cones and some bread. Some grapefruit hints. The flavor has caramel, some pine cones and resins. Medium body, soft carbonation. Some sweetness and caramel in the finish, with pine cones and resins. Way too malty this one, far from impressive. 140315
