English: It’s a beer that’s been thought about for quite some time – actually since the brewers first visit to Sherbrooke Liquor in Edmonton, AB, Canada a few years back, and finally I did it – I manned up and did it! After a whole freaking day of brewing coffee for this beer I can truly say it is Craft. If not devoted to the product who in their right mind would brew hundreds of litres of coffee for a beer? The result is a big and bold smooth Porter with discrete vanilla and coffee notes.
Hops: Magnum, Nelson Sauvin Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black, Vanilla and coffee.

Bottle @ Benzai thx to Benzai. Black coloured beer with a nice ruby red glow shining through, medium sized beige head. Smells alcohol, red fruits, roasty, whisky and maybe even some oak. Tastes roast, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Full body, low to medium carbo. The last sip was the best.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Martinus at weekly tasting. Black color, medium sized tan to light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma has malts, roasted malts, coffee, but no vanilla. Taste malts, roasted malts, lightly vanilla, nicely bitter. Quite long lingering roasty bitterness. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Pours pitch black with a proper medium-brown head. Smell of roasted malt, coffee and cocoa. It also has hints of oak. Flavours found are roasted malt, coffee, oak and, of course, vanilla (hence the name). I detect a small hint of alcohol as well. At 10% ABV, this hardly comes as a surprise. Leaves a lingering sensation on the palate that reminds me of spicy peppers and chili fruits. Great porter this! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle courtesy of Jacob. Thanks. Pours an opaque black color with a small tan head that has good retention. The aroma is big and bold with coffee, chocolates and something spicy. The taste, like the aroma, is a big blast of complex coffee with dark bitter baking chocolates, mocha, vanilla and some peppery spice. The palate is full and viscous with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering baking chocolates. Overall: I am stunned by how good this beer is-- I love it. My hat’s off to the brewer.

Massive coffee aroma. Black, small tan head. Some chilli beans retronals. Nice roasty body, greta sotut taste, Later the chilli comes over in the aroma too. We do not get the alcohol, even with the alcohol test. Anna did initially get a touch of alcohol. But later there’s no sign. later some vanilla comes over in the post-swallowing RNs.

It’s pitch black with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light oak, dark chocolate and licorice. The flavor is sweet and roasted, very well balanced and smooth with notes of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, super light vanilla and the finish is roasted and slightly bitter. Lovely!

10% I picked this up somewhere in Denmark but can’t recall where. Shared at Asahiya. A dark black pour with a tan head. The aroma was chocolate & coffee. We didn’t get much vanilla from it except in the finish. Very nice.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB 18.06.2015. Black color, thick brown head. Sweet, massive coffee and roasted aroma, some cocoa, as well as some vanilla. Flavor has vanilla sweetness, roasted malt, coffee and woody notes. Finish is on the dryer side with strong coffee and chocolate notes. Loong aftertaste. Alcohol hidden very well. Smooth. Really tasty, not too sweet either IMO. Scaringly easy to drink.

Svart öl med ett stort brunt skum. Doft: Kaffe, mörk choklad, hjortron, jul kryddor, kollat trä. Smak: Lakrits, choklad, kanderat socker, brända mandlar, trä, humle, bigarråer. Lite tunn i smaken men intressant och bra krydd örtig eftersmak.
