Crockett and Tubbs were to the drug world of Miami the same as the hops in this beer - a means to balance tings out. In the beers case the fresh citrussy hops balances the grains and gives you a sense of calm. A sense of what pale ales used to be under the sun, of good times and careless days. This is a tribute to the series that ran from 1984-1990 and what can we say about Miami Vice that hasnít already been said, except that it is the greatest TV show ever made in the history of television.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange-hued amber body with a large bubbly white head. Nose is red berries, peaches, mild piney notes, caramel and hints of grapefruit. Taste is fresh citric tones, peaches, pine, grapefruit and hints of caramel, red berries and orange peel. Light to medium body, medium to high carbonation. Quite straightforward and refreshing, I like it.

330ml bottle (Kultura, Kaunas)
Lovely fruity spicy hop aroma. Fishy? Yeah, salmon in the retronasals. Later aroma has more caramel. But every sip has salmon. A nice bitter finish, quite a bite and a throbbing tingle. Started good with the first sniff, but whatís it with the fish!??!? Did later manage to have a sip of a fresh keg version, and it was cleaner, but Iím rating what I actually drank in quantity.

Bottle. Slightly dark clear amber colour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is dry hops, pine, orange, earth, grass and some sweeter caramel stuff as well. Taste is mildly sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish. A bit watery but with plenty of delicious bready and malty stuff. Plenty of hops on the finish as well. Good for a summerís day.

15-JUN-2014, bottle @home, from Fish & Beer. Hazy orange with lasting off-white head. Aroma is very hoppy and fruity. Grape fruit, mango. Taste the same. Medium body - even a Little watery finish. Medium carbonation. Bitter but not really hurtingly so, and aftertaste is not all that long and bitter. More on the fruity side and that is fine by me. Fantastic APA.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy light amber colour with a medium, light beige head. Hoppy aroma with tropical fruit, oranges, pine, grass and some caramel. The flavour is fruity with tones of peaches, hay and grassy hops. Dry ending. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A nice, fruity and well-balanced APA.
