Crockett and Tubbs were to the drug world of Miami the same as the hops in this beer - a means to balance tings out. In the beers case the fresh citrussy hops balances the grains and gives you a sense of calm. A sense of what pale ales used to be under the sun, of good times and careless days. This is a tribute to the series that ran from 1984-1990 and what can we say about Miami Vice that hasnít already been said, except that it is the greatest TV show ever made in the history of television.

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. This never made it past the point of ídecentí with me. Although to be fair, iíve had zombie dust just a couple of hours before.

Very nice golden hazy color. Aroma full of grapefruit and citrus, maybe a bit something like biscuit, or bread with red fruits. Taste like grapefruit with carmel malt with reasonably bitterness and sweetness. Aftertaste is bread combined with grapefriut. Nice refreshing beer for hot sunny days but I expected more bitterness and more complex aroma.

The aroma is full of hops, pine needle, flowers, citrus and little bit of butter. The color is dark caramel. The taste is full of hops, pine needle, citrus, caramel and the finish is long and bitter. A nice beer!

50cl tap@Den Gamle Major, Oslo in pint glass@approx 6 degrees C. Pours a hazy golden with a small off white head. Beautiful hoppy aroma: citrus, floral hop, orange peel. Also hoppy taste, but not as intense as the aroma: A bit heavy and cloudy taste with slightly bitter hops and bready malt and a long, dry, slightly bitter aftertaste Medium body and low carbonation. Pleasant and easily drinkable.

Bit underwhelming. Okay, itís got modern hops. But itís more dimmed than I hoped. Does drink very easily though, and thatís the point of this brew. Perhaps when itís really fresh, it could really shine as bright as the Miami sun. (33cl bottle from Saveur BiŤre)

In short: fruity bitter ale.
Pours hazy dark golden with nice white head. Moderate head retention, soma lacing. Fruity, sweet, critrusy, mango, peachy nose. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is mild bitter, fruity. Enjoyable.

A bit too bitter for my taste. Nice color and density. Alcohol is not overpowering in any way.
