33cl bottle from Ølhandleriet, Oslo. Pours slightly hazy (dark) golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma with tropical fruits, malt, grapefruit and hints of pine and grass. Medium body slightly soft carbonation. Moderate sweet and quite fruity with a nice bitterness in the finish. Well balanced and quite delicious.

A bit too heavy on the nelson hops although I am a hop lover. Still enjoyable though.

330 ml bottle @ Øltorget, Mathallen Oslo. Slightly hazy golden body with a small off-white head. Fantastic fruity aroma dominated by Nelson hops, tropical and grapes. Flavor is soft and smooth malty with fruit and quite much bitterness. Medium to thin body, but definitively acceptable at 4,6% ABV. Aftertaste has a sharp grassy bitterness. A fine, refreshing and tasty session pale ale with quite good balance. Think I may pull the lawnmower a few times with this as a reward.

Bottle at Ulrik’s. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Dry with some sweetness. Hoppy aromas... Some of Nelson. Unbalanced - too bitter for the Nelson. Medium bodied. Medium soft carbonation. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pine, resin, petroleum, lime zest, peach, bready malt. Taste is light+ sweet and medium bitter. Light+ body, watery/oily texture. medium carbonation. Light bitter and dry finish with long lasting hop notes. Nice Nelson aroma but a bit too watery and light bodied for my taste.

Well, here I sit in the pub where I last saw Oliver, slightly welling up, and not necessarily able to focus so much on the beer. But it’s a beer that’s befitting of a person and an occassion that demands respect. The first thing you notice is that it’s quite fresh and lively. Slightly hazy, but a good head, Full of character, and with the kind of bitterness that I really appreciate. No negatives, you enjoy every moment. And even when gone, those good things linger in your head for a long time. A real pleasure to encounter one like this. So I raise a toast to you, Oliver McFadden, it was an honour to have known you. Hmm, the question is now whether I should review this beer...

Aroma: Smelling of peas and newly cut, almost fermented, grass.
Appearance: A hazy amber colored beer. A off-white head with small lacing and some curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet green peas, rubber and bitter white grape-fruit peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a coarse texture. A small body with a very dry finish.
Overall: A bit to green bitterness, I might not be a Nelson Sauvin fan.
Note: Bottle 330 ml. Reviewed 2013-01-25.
