In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, peach and apricot. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Nicely bitter.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy deep golden with a medium off white head. The aroma is quite fruity with some grainy malty notes. Flowers and citrus mixed. The flavour is light grainy with some malty notes. Bitter citric hoppy notes. Not much Nelson Sauvin in this. Piney and grape fruity finish.

330ml bottle. Pours a deep straw, with a white head. Hoppy, herbal aroma, overall character a bit dampened by yeasty overtones, malt, spruce. Dry, light to medium body, medium to high bitterness, balanced CO2. Hoppy, spicy taste, malt, yeast, spruce, apricot, grass. Bitterness is a bit too overwhelming, a little unbalanced. (2012-08-24)

From tap @Fermentoren, København. Slightly hazed, pure gold colored body. Low blond head. Tropical-fruity hop nose, and a whiff of light toasted malts. Taste is on the sweet side. Clean, restrained malt body. Fruity hop flavor, not very bitter though. Well-bodied for a 4.6% beer. Soft mouthfeel. Light bitter-sweet endnotes. A pretty nice summer seasonal.

Cloudy orange color, smallish white head. Mix of malty sweet, hoppy fruity, berries scent. Malty, bitter, berry taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Nice, refreshing, but also rather non-complex and one-dimensional.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy off-white head. Good lacing. Tart, citrusy and creamy hop aroma, feels somewhat stale; the tart and creamy notes somewhat reminds me rhubarb porridge, although there’s no actual rhubarb note. Don’t really know what to make of this. Flavour is mildly hoppy, with the same creamy note as in the aroma. Mildly bitter finish with a bit of citrus. Overall so-so; my previous encounters with Nelson Sauvin have been glorious, but this one isn’t doing it for me; that creamy note is putting me off. Also, the flavour was too weak. 25.08.12.

Bottle sample at a tasting at DSG’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Pours murky amber with a frothy white head. Smells skunky with a little butter. Tastes very bitter - some butter here as well. Sharp bitter finish, light body. refreshing.
