UPDATED: MAY 9, 2013 330ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) at 8.9% Black. Mjs has a nice tan head but I don’t. Sightly stale roasty aroma, but promises good things so I like it. Slightly smokey palate, some nice sweet esters aided up the nose by a bit of alcohol. Great rich roast, no astringency, sweet and cakey, even a bit of coconut frosting. Sweet ans smooth, even keggy carbonation can’t cut through the smoothness. cakeyness high. alcohol restrained. like it.

rosenbergh (7353) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 16, 2014
Draught at the Konttori, Tampere. Finland.
Pitch black colour with a small dense tan head. Sweetness, hops, marmalade, roasted malt and vanilla in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, bitter hops, marmalade and some vanilla sweetness. 8.9% is perfectly hidden. Tasty.

Tap@pikkis. Black, dirty tan top. Ashy roasty, sweet licorice, espresso chocolate nose. Dry bodied, surprisingly light feel. Dry, woody roasty, bit acidic. Intwnsiive, slight harsh bodied ris. Some herbs in that mouthwatering finish. A bit harsh on its own.

0.33 bottle. Black with a big, thick, frothy, brownish head which leaves a small lacing. Malty aroma of caramel, smoke, charred wood, and licorice. Taste is also very typical for a stout with heavy, toasted malts; smoke; and wood. Full body, thick texture, and soft carbonation. Despite the beer’s strength and style finish does not offend or intrude, it’s as soft as one could imagine. Overall the beer is extremely good and finely-balanced, tough to find any real blemishes.

15.11.2014- 0,33l Bottle. Black colour with brown head. Rich beer with lots of burnt malty aromas. Dark malts. Roasted and almost kind of smoked. There is also some sweetness behind the bitterness. Bitter aftertaste . Strong, rich and bitter. Lots of flavours. Good beer.

Countbeer (4709) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2014
Bottle: Thanks Dedollewaitor: Served in a Chouffe glass: Black beer with a medium sized brown head. Aroma of coal, bacon, coffee, roast, some chocolate, wheat, hint of manure, some rice/corn, coffee roast and raisin/prunes. Flavour has some good bitters, roast, coal, malt roast, some dark chocolate, wheat and hay roast, some brown sugars, coffee and herbal roast. Low carbo, silky mouthfeel, fuller body and a creamy sticky texture. A great wheat stout. So damn tasty and without any nonesense! Great stuff!

330 ml. bottle obtained in a trade with Dedollewaitor. Thx! Shared with multiple people @ Modeste 2014. Dark brown, little head. Nose is soy sauce, lots of it, roasted coffee, roasted malts,… Taste is soy sauce, liquorish, roast, umami, almost salty umami note, light dark fruits. Lightly grainy, soy sauce, bit thinner body. Too much soy sauce for me, manageable.
