UPDATED: MAY 9, 2013 330ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) at 8.9% Black. Mjs has a nice tan head but I don’t. Sightly stale roasty aroma, but promises good things so I like it. Slightly smokey palate, some nice sweet esters aided up the nose by a bit of alcohol. Great rich roast, no astringency, sweet and cakey, even a bit of coconut frosting. Sweet ans smooth, even keggy carbonation can’t cut through the smoothness. cakeyness high. alcohol restrained. like it.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with huge light brown creamy head. Aroma is oat meal, ripe sweet apples, sweet licorice mints, brown sugar and cinnamon cookies. Taste is very bitter, medium sweet and faint salty. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and bitter with notes of dark bitter chocolate, espresso, grilled meat, gravy, sweet licorice, white sugar ABC’s dark red winegums. Rich and complex in excellent balance!

Bottle at home, from Jan I think, 02/08/14. Black with a moderate tan covering. Nose is roast malt, dark fruit vibes, chocolate, light charr. Taste comprises chocoalte, light coffee backnotes, molasses, spice, dark fruits. Medium + body, fine carbonation, roasty close. Decent enough impy, easy drinker, but nothing earth shattering for the style.

Helt sort med et kremet lysebrunt skum, skummet hang fint i glassveggen. Aroma av røstet malt, mørk frukt, kaffe, sjokolade og hint av lakris. Smaken følger aroma, men hadde ventet noe mer fylde. Ettersmaken varer en kort stund

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival. This had an acidic touch that i usually appreciate but that in this case just didn’t work out.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Pundarquartis for this bottle! Black with a frothy light brown head. Roasty aroma with coffee, dark chocolate and meaty smokiness. Bittersweet flavor, roasty and smoky, with sausages, coffee, dark chocolate, nutty notes and a bitter finish. Full-bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Very nice.
