COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: The smoothness of this black fluid takes you by surprise. No, this is not an extreme beer! No, this is no hop explosion! This is smoothness! Deliciously tasty, subtle toastiness and a hint of hops – like a long petting of your taste buds. And at only 7,8 % alc. this is the beer you want to drink all night. For your grilled steak, your chocolately desserts and your creamy blue cheeses.
Hops: Cascade, Simcoe Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black.

Lovely rye bread aroma. Black beer, tan head. Smooth base, fine rye sourness. Well crafted, a fine refreshemnt,a nd it would be lovely with a Danish rye bread sandwich.

18-MAY-2912, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer". Black with a huge beige head. Roast with some rye caracter like rye bread. Smooth but not as rye- full as hoped for. Roast like licirice and bread. Some hop elements as well. Easy drinking. Fine porter.

10cl sample at Fairbar, Aarhus. The bartender promised me a filthy, intense mighty porter. Though he didn’t convince me, i haven’t yet had a less smoked porter... At least i can’t recall which one it would be. With closed eyes i would have guessed that it was a 30/70 mix of porter and IPA. Fairly easy to see through. Perhaps it would be good for food, but it didn’t impress me. I enjoy most beer though! ;)

Draught at Ølbaren. Black with a golden-tinged head. I’m loving the spicy aroma from the rye malt. Works really well here. Tastes like a very well executed porter/stout, with lots of roasted, chocolate and coffee flavours, but the constant presence of rye keeps it interesting. Well balanced and drinkable. Put me down as a fan.
