English: The smoothness of this black fluid takes you by surprise. No, this is not an extreme beer! No, this is no hop explosion! This is smoothness! Deliciously tasty, subtle toastiness and a hint of hops – like a long petting of your taste buds. And at only 7,8 % alc. this is the beer you want to drink all night. For your grilled steak, your chocolately desserts and your creamy blue cheeses.
Hops: Cascade, Simcoe Malts: Pilsner, Caramel, Rye, Oats, Chocolate, Black.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with a small off-white head. Sweet roasty, licoricey aroma - I’m beginning to feel I can really recognize rye when I encounter it although I find it difficult to describe its rustic character. Medium body, a broad variety of roasty flavors and a solid bitterness in the finish, from both hops and roast. 110512

Flavour is chocolate, mild toasted wooden notes, some toffee, ashes and also quite big on the bitterness. Yet mellow and smooth with a good body.

Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and airy with mild fine carbonation. The dark malt is quite light, no roast but there is a touch of bitterness. Lactose and a little rye spice. A little bitter licorice and toffee before the semi dry finish. Not bad.

Draught at Fairbar, Århus
Black color, with brownish head. Aroma of roasted malts, some ashes. It has a good body strength and a smooth mouthfeel; strong flavor of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate; ashy; the rye gives some typical sour trait; strong bitterness.
Solid brew.
