COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fromerly named as Janáček Comenius Speciál Světlé 14°.
It is a product which is characterised by the fullness, strong body and slightly mead-caramel flavouring. The merit of this beer is also its very delicate bitterness. 6.0 % alcohol vol.

It poured a clear golden liquid with a big white foam that quickly dissapeared and left no lacing. It had a weak smell of malt and honey. It tasted of honey, malt, a hint of puke and also a very odd taste. Very watery and a light body. Stingy mouthfeel. No this definitely wasn’t a beer for me. I ended up pouring it down the sink and that is quite unnusual for me.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, hops and straw. Light bitter finish.

Looks nice and golden when it pour. White head that doesn’t last. Fresh, hoppy smell with some malty notes in it. Taste is bitter and full. Lots of caramelly malt along with some honeylike sweetness that makes up for the bitterness in a good way. Both malt and hops lingers in the mouth.

Bottle (33 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear deep golden with fluffy white head. Bready malt aroma with grassy hops and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied, a bit fizzy carbonation. Well balanced with a long bitter finish.

Bottled 500ml. -Clear golden coloured, medium to big white head, pleasant hoppy nose. Moderate malty, hoppy and grainy with notes of herbs. Rather bitter finish. Very good Boh. pils and the best Czech beer I’ve tried on Rujanfest.

0.5l bottle at the Beershop tent at the Rujanfest in Zagreb. (thanks!)
A very pleasant surprise at the end of one extensive rating day. Poured a golden body with a big thick chalky white head. Flowery nose with some herbal hoppy notes (Saaz?). Sweet but not excessively so nice grainy malty taste with some fine herbal hopiness. Wasn’t able to go into details but this was definitely the tastiest beer I’ve had that day.

Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2009. Pale golden color, small head. Malty aroma with some vegetables. Alcohol flavor, not the way I want a czech pilsener to be.

Bottle, 6.0%. Mild marcipan flavour. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. OK fruity flavour, peppery note, a little sweetness, slightly rough bitterness.

0,5 l bottle, bought in Galeria Piva. Nice golden body with a stable, delicious white head. Sweet malt, some vanilla in the nose. Fruity swetnes in the flavor with a hoppy finish. And fructose with some bubblegum in the aftertaste. Freaky but interesting.
