4. Oct. 2013 A 0.5 l bottle that poured pale copper body with medium sized head. Fine peppery and slightly herbal aroma. Caramel was showed only in the flavor, which is still pleasantly bitter, well balanced. Rather smooth, creamy on palate with its medium body. Finish was long, somewhat on a sweeter caramel side. Another pleasant lager from this brewery.

Foxy-copper beer with a cream-coloured, slowly imploding head. Lots of caramel, maltsyrup, later rainwater and garden herbs - and again caramel. Toast, roastgravy heavily diluted with water, caramel, parsley. Very light and neutral, but, also because of its refreshing qualities, agreable. Some faint bitterish astringency. Rather spritzy carbonation, trying to mask the virtually empty finish and aftertaste. Honestly, it’s OK, but a good Spéciale Belge would have more fireworks inside. Thanks to Peter!

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and catamel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

50 cl bottle. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty, caramelish and toasted malty. Roasted malty, bitter and breadish. Dry and bitter, roasted malty finish.

Bottled. Color is really impressive - reddish dark golden honey amber with unstable and quickly vanishing white foam. Very interesting taste - starts with a bit bitter and well carbonized shot, then it is stabilized to some nuts malts notes and finishes by a bit dry and slightly hopped finish. Body is too thin, I’d say. Anyway, not too bad, nice beer, but with some lacks.

Nice amber color with big brownish head. Malty aroma with medium bitterness from hops. In its beer style it is one of the better ones.

16/XI/13 - 50cl bottle @ home - BB: 30/XI/13 (2013-1069) Thanks to Marie for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark orange beer, big creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. aroma: grains, hay, cow stable, sweet malts, very rural. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet start, some caramel, lots of grains, bitter touch, some toast. Aftertaste: little bitter, orange peel, bit sweet, malty, hay, grains. Nothing impressive here.

bottle bought at Tesco in Bratislava/Slovakia. I’m a bit disappointed about this beer. I expected more Vienna malt aroma and flavor in this beer. Other Uhersky Brod beers are much more my league. Somehow this beer tastes only bitter with a bitter walnut background. This beer is probably not (yet) for me.

Heavy’s (thanks again!). Daaark golden-amber body with a slightly off white head The aroma is a mix of malty and herbal notes, with some light orange popping up. Dry, nice taste, slightly grainy, yoghurty, somewhat creamy. Hoppy here & there if I remember correctly too. Hah, not the most useful of rates, my notes suddenly getting stupid.
