Fromerly named as Janáček Kounic

Bottled. Color is really impressive - reddish dark golden honey amber with unstable and quickly vanishing white foam. Very interesting taste - starts with a bit bitter and well carbonized shot, then it is stabilized to some nuts malts notes and finishes by a bit dry and slightly hopped finish. Body is too thin, I’d say. Anyway, not too bad, nice beer, but with some lacks.

On tap at Kulovy Blesk. Amber with a small white head. Malty aroma with grainy notes and a touch of DMS. Dry and malty flavour with an ever so faint metallic note

inbirraveritas (1227) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 21, 2011
Bottle from Pivo Söröző with 4.6% ABV. Clear copper amber coloured brew with a broad pored yellowish white head, which leaves a thin film behind. Sweet-sourish nose. Starts sharp and with a slightly thin mouthfeel followed by a fruity aroma escorted by caramel, herbs and dough. It finishes medium dry and fruity with toast and some spices. Not bad.

JorisPPattyn (7879) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 15, 2014
Foxy-copper beer with a cream-coloured, slowly imploding head. Lots of caramel, maltsyrup, later rainwater and garden herbs - and again caramel. Toast, roastgravy heavily diluted with water, caramel, parsley. Very light and neutral, but, also because of its refreshing qualities, agreable. Some faint bitterish astringency. Rather spritzy carbonation, trying to mask the virtually empty finish and aftertaste. Honestly, it’s OK, but a good Spéciale Belge would have more fireworks inside. Thanks to Peter!
